That does sound good. I try to drag myself across town, to the International District, for the markets, there. (People, I need my slaves!) Fresher produce at much lower prices. And a selection you don't find in the major grocers - yu choy, long beans, tasty condiments, all sorts of noodles, all sorts of foods.
After a few months of a cleaner diet, I've recently been revisited by the junk food compulsion. I wonder what's causing it.
Re cravings, I do know that at one time, a long time ago, I was having a craving for potato chips and raw meat. In a while, I had a craving for eating ice. I only found out *after* a blood test finally found it, that a craving for lots of salt or for ice, can indicate anemia.
I love it when I *enjoy* healthy food.
(Editted to say, I mean, I need to find my slaves, because they can take me across town and they can shlep the groceries. Soon.)
sorry about the eniema thing... that is something I do not have to worry about.. my iron levels are waaaay high. To the point I have to be careful of what vitamins I go on... too much iron makes me sick.
I would say about 60% of my diet is fresh fruit and veggies. I love long beans stirfried with garlic... Yummy! I eat a little whole grain stuff.. usualy rice, and flat breads... and a wee bit of lean meat. ( Lamb! chicken, some pork... fish... very very little red meat. )
and the occasional chips... ( both kinds)
Your body craves what it is missing.
