I can understand not getting into King's Dark Tower series....I have tried several times to try reading it, but just can't keep going.
Actually, he's referred to the series in a couple of his books....Insomnia is one....brings up the Crimson King and Roland, the series protagonist. I've been thinking about going back and reading the Talisman again.
They made a movie of "Desperation", the sister novel to "The Regulators"...I have never seen it, but with the track record of King's novels going to movies, haven't really been interested. I do have the mini-series "Tommyknockers"...it's been a few years since I read that one, but from what I remember, it's pretty true to the book. And I loved "Rose Red" and "Storm of the Century"....King seems to work better as a larger mini-series than a feature length movie...but then again, they can do a 6 hour miniseries with a much smaller budget than the movies.
