No, don't slam anyone. No put-downs. And I can only speak for myself, but no hurt feelings because I didn't mention someone. There are many whom I admire. Just some come to mind more readily. For me, KittenSol. She has the perspective that comes from living in more than one country, and speaking more than one language. SubTee: I love the way she uses the language. ZenSee: He thinks consistently, logically, and with compassion. Cjan: seems to have the heart the Cowardly Lion sought. DomKen: understands facts trump talking points. That's all for now. Remember, I do not intend a slam-fest.

The two who first sprung to mind are LuckyAlbatross and Master Ron (mnottertail). LA is always the voice of reason and perspective and half the time I read her posts the only thing I could possibly add is "What LA said." Not to mention her unfailing ability to perform her sexy Google thing and post the links to pertinent threads. Master Ron has one of the finest minds I have ever encountered - culturally, intellectually, ecumenically - he's just brilliant. well wishes ~ fairer than she

Kittensol yup would have her on there I think that the way that she is unshakable on her morals is fantastic, I would also have Stephenn (gosh I may not even have spelled his name right)

Stephan is one perceptive young man. I don't think I was anywhere close to being that attuned to the Human Condition when I was his age.

It's not critical that someone share my point of view 100% of the time, but if they show themselves to be unintelligent then they wouldn't have made the list. I like thoughtful people, even if I disagree with them. Some people don't make the list because I would never mention people close to me on a list like this (mainly protecting them from an association with me because I am pretty sure I come across like an asshole). I am sure I have left many off my list, but I expect others will pick up the slack. I'm going to include an "oddball" list because I like these posters, but sometimes they mystify me with some of their views. They seem like good people at heart though. pahunkboy maybe just types too quickly at times. seeksfemslave mnottertail popeye1250 pahunkboy P.S. The fact that about 1/3 of the posters on my two lists have been under heavy moderation at some time or other says something is sorely lacking in how moderation is utilized I think. Just sayin'...

I think on any boards people tend to focus on the posts from those who have made an impression on them, i'm no different in that respect and a few people stand out. I think they stand out b/c they check their egos at the door, they dont engage in sycophantic behaviours, and what they have to say makes me sit up and take notice, providing a different perspective I can relate to and even if I don't agree with their comments, they have provided invaluable insights: Lady Ellen Stella B LA Shaktisama Aswad Darcy and the.dark Celtic Lord Gwyn - she provides clarity of thought, cuts through the bullshit and all the while doing so, keeps herself (and us, the reader) in touch with the nice side of our humanity. She's a younger, kinkier, sassier version of Mother Theresa [;)]

Aswad's intellect astounds me. Especially when you see his age. The list of who's intellect I respect is quite long. The ones I dont respect is shorter. Plus that thread would be pulled. Me? sigh, I will just have to assign myself to the roll of lovable ditz[sm=shake.gif]
