Am I a abilityist if I prefer to date people without major physical or mental disabilities? This doesn't mean I wouldn't date a girl in a wheelchair if we connected on lots of other levels, but just because I consider a wheelchair as part of the pros and cons, doesn't mean I'm a horrible person for trying to decide whom I wish to invite into my house or bed.

Seriously, nobody has the right to demand you date people outside of what you wish to date. If you only want to date Martians, that's entirely your perogative. People have the right to be as sexist, racist, ethnically or sexually discriminatory as they wish. Should a gay man feel bad that he won't date females? Doesn't that make him sexist? What about a straight man who refuses to date gay men? Does that make him sexist at all?

Preferences are vital to establishing compatibility. I won't date girls who are into black ghetto culture. Ghetto girls come in all sorts of races, sizes, and shapes, but I just rarely have anything in common with them. It doesn't mean I'm better than they are, or have no respect for them, or no understanding for where they come from; it just means I dont' want to date a girl who identifies as being a getto thug chick. There's tons of men who prefer a girl that way, too; so there's nothing for anyone to feel bad about. She'll be happier with a man who can appreciate her qualities in a way that I wouldn't. Having said that, I'm currently involved with an asian girl who grew up in South Central LA, and can turn the ghetto chick on and off. We get along great, because she doesn't turn it on around me.

I think it's no different than if she said she was looking for a skinny master. People have physical qualities that turn them on. Plenty of masters want thin submissives, their submission no greater than that of a heavier submissive. It's just what turns their crank.
