It's also not recommended for more then 2 years in your entire life anymore because recent studies indicate it increases the chance for osteoperosis.

When I take Musinex I can smell a change in my vaginal oder, it could be another medication you've started taking.

Aderall would sometimes change the scent for me, if I was just getting on it.
Take any pills?

Oh yeah, I meant to mention that in My previous post too and I forgot. It has made a huge difference to My health in a number of ways, not just this one. I swear by My cup of yogurt every single morning to help keep Me healthy.

And, just so you know, it can also be applied topically. It can make a mess, but I do it sitting on the edge of My bathtub and any drips can be rinsed right down the drain. Most of it absorbs after a while and then I wash away any stickiness that remains, but I leave the inside of My vagina alone. The yogurt causes no harm, and the body's own natural processes let it flow out when it's "ready" (for lack of a better word).

I know this might sound crazy, but it has worked for Me for many years. Even so, I recommend checking with a doctor before you do anything. It was My doctor who told me about it so I suspect yours will be fine with it too, but it's always best to ask. And, as always, ymmv.

I asked the advice nurse for kiaser, ment to ask the dr too but I forgot and she recomended eating yogurt, and I want to pig out on fruits and stuff this summer, particularly water mellon. Maybe having some more of nature's own goodness in my diet will help, and even if it don't help that, it sure should help me get some of my much needed nutritional needs.

My sister was on Depo for 2 years, gained about 150 pounds, and hasnt had a period in the 5 years since she got off of it. She has been trying to have a baby, and since she has no period, no baby....

Depo is the devil. I have to agree. Its right for some people, but the long term chance of sterilization is quite an issue.

I have My tubes tied and am on BC for period regulation. Tho I dont take the sugar pills. I take just the hormone ones, this way, I dont have a period at all. Down side? My BP is like....stroke level high...its insane...

It generally takes a while to find the BC method that works for you.

I would suggest, just by reading a lil here and there, to any woman, to actually increase the amount of yogurt that you eat....a simple 2 table spoon dose ( say that because I hate the stuff) will cut down on all kinds of issues from gastric to simple things like yeast infections.

Im not sure about the pine apple juice...I eat alot of pine apple in the summer. But I havent noticed the effect one way or another. Ive always had a some what soft musky smell, but a very sweet taste...except when I was pregnant. It went back after, but when I was pregnant it went to hell.

Anyway...good luck...er should I say lick? -winks-

This is not true. Ma'am has the same IUD as Flaming, and she has never had children (nor do we intend to). My understanding it that it can also cause some long term health issue because the strength of the hormones released screws with your endocrine system (hormonal system).

Ditto on the yogurt use, but I install it with my Keeper cup and empty and replace it every so often.

Seeing and no one else seems to have suggested it yet.

Make sure you are drinking enough water. If you are dehydrated your sweat, urine and vaginal secretions will smell stronger. Fruit and such will help but if you are not drinking plain water to help flush the body properly you will smell and taste stronger.

Side note on Depo.. I did a long post about this over a year ago but I'll highlight here.

I went on Depo in the early 90's when it first became available in Canada. I was on it for a little over 5 years. I had 1 period in the 5 years (great right? ) ya not so much.

The side efect i got while on it:

Massive mood swings to the point where I actually tried to place a rolling pin through my boyfriends forhead.
I went from the tight jock body that I had to having that lower tummy pouch thingy that no matter what you do it never
fricking goes totally away.
moderate weight gain. nothing really bad.

Side Effects coming off of it:

Facial hair (how sexy is that?)
I can't take any kind of hormonal based birth control at all (I have been off depo for 10 years now and still can't)
It took probably 2 years and a bit for my cycle to come back to any sense of normalacy
I now have what is called cervical erosion and sensitive cervix syndrome. We didn't figure that one out until I spent my whole pregnancy terrified that I was going to misscarry cause I was bleeding consistantly. We found out that it was from the cervix not the uterus.

I'm not saying Depo isn't good for some people but there are alot of side effects that no one tells you about.

I do drink about 3 or 4 bottles of water a day. And I'll be loading up on watermellon this summer, cause it's good for you and a tasty treat, and trying to get more yogurt an fruit in.

the recommendation is that we should all be drinking 8-10 glasses of fluid including water a day...non-caffeinated beverages preferably...that means 64-80 ounces minimum.

i think i scanned over a post in here that too much intercourse can give you a funk? It indeed can. If Sir and i abstain from activity for a day or so i literally smell of roses. i am on DP and i have had no real issues with it. Works for U/us. Back to the funk...Ok, so when He and i do have intercourse and He releases inside of me, i will be funky within hours. Even with going potty right after and washing repeatedly, i can never get rid of all of it. He hasn't complained but it does bother me. He will get funky too and it can be unpleasant at best for any kind of oral. Try showering and then abstaining for a day or 2 and see if the funk is still there. That is what i did and i found out it was a mix of He and i and not me or not just Him. Our physcial chemistry is the only part of U/us that doesn't seem to mix well. Meh, it can be lived with. But try the showing/abstaining bit and see if that is the culprit.

Belladonna we're very rarely having sex. we quite regularly go 4 or 5 months with out sex, so I don't think it's that. I think I am just naturally musky and he just don't like it. Which is his problem not mine, cause if I am keeping clean and I am not on the rag* depo's stopped my period for years* and I d on't have vaginosis or a yeast, then he's just going to have to deal with it. And I am going to have to learn not to let others make me worried of my own scent cause it's a healthy natural thing.

Smoking, coffee and alcohol are actually three of the worst culprits. And then diet, fresh produce and keep foods as much in their natural form as possible, cut down on white flour and white sugar products and you should notice a change.

Depo Provera is cruelty to women. If you're on it, and you haven't researched it extensively, please do. It has more harmful effects than most pesticides. It won't be on the market for much longer due to rising awareness.

To answer the intial question, beyond running as far away from Depo Provera as possible, try shaving or waxing if you haven't already. Daily showers, changing your diet, and getting your heart rate up for an hour several times a week couldn't hurt either. Reducing your stress levels can also help the issue.
