What I find more amusing, is the women from the "my weight shouldn't matter" camp who conveniently leave that off of their otherwise fully filled-out profile.

If it's not a big deal, why's it a big deal to put in on there?

i think that only bothers me if they have been here for years and their profile starts out "new to Collar Me" or "will fill in more later" and there is no more....but they are here everyday.
Then again, maybe these folks know more than i do. They could be the people hooking up making relationships happen. Ahh ,the mystery of the nearly empty profile! Maybe he's like Heathcliff with a pc...i should reach out to him and be his submissive Catherine, and forge a love beyond compare...until his wife finds out, at least.

Because people do not understand the relationship between weight and appearance. I am carrying around an extra sixty pounds~~does my picture look like that? Would the average person know that when I was a size 10 bodybuilder I weighed 150 pounds?

Right now, I see that some guy is 5'7" and 230....is he a beachball, or what? Feh. Show me a picture.

I do include weight but also pictures....most people /men in particular would guess I weigh anywhere from 15 to 30 pounds less than I actually do... without a picture and only weight expressed a male would have a totally different vision of what I would look like. And some women at the same weight as me will look quite chubby...weight alone is not a good descriptor as it does not give you an idea of bone/muscle mass ..how that weight is porportioned on the bodies frame.... Most men if looking at weight as part of their criteria would reject a female that has weight listed a being over 145 lbs,,, of course I get a laugh with those that do have top weights listed in which I way exceed and them contacting me and telling me what a beautiful body I have or question me on whether my photos are recent arguing with me the photos don't correspond with my given weight.

Yeah, I've been thinking that those could be the reasons for some to leave out any real information. I also would not appreciate being contacted by anyone in the latter category.
I think perhaps also some people may have chosen to delete their info temporarily, and I guess there could be several reasons for that; they've met someone; their life situation is in some sort of upheaval, lots of possibilities...
Some may simply be curious and apart from that have no idea what they may be looking for.
Some people may have forgotten their passwords or even that they registered a profile here. I have come across profiles with photos and a lot of info posted here that haven't been accessed for years; I'd say they're simply 'otherwise occupied' - I gather that there's a lot of people registered here that aren't really looking for anything at all (at least not currently), and I would include most of those with empty profiles in that group.

MidMichCowboy, I don't think you are ugly at all. Actually, I think you are a kind of a hottie. Something about your eyes. I don't generally peek at people's profiles when they come up on the homepage here, but I did yours. Something drew me to it. It doesn't happen very often & I am mostly here for the forums, so I rarely give most profiles much more than a passing glance.

I don't have a regular picture up of me because I work with the public. I have seen a few people who work where I work, have customers find their online profiles. When there is something they don't like, they complain & threaten to take their business elsewhere. Fortunately, I work for a pretty liberal company. I just don't deal with the drama.

For a long time, I didn't even put my size on my profile, until someone accused me of being so morbidly obese, I probably couldn't get out of my house. I think size can give a much clearer picture of how heavy or skinny a person is than weight anyway, so that is what I list for anyone to whom it matters.

When people do write to me, I usually will take a look at their profile. I always look at their forum posts. If there is nothing, the person generally will get nothing more than a very polite I am not interested, I wish you well email back. On the other hand, those that have taken the time to actually participate here, have sometimes become those I consider friends.

This topic resulted in me catching some grief from a friend about not updating my profile or doing a journal.

So, though not a lot has changed I started a journal.

Posted a few new pics too. Pretty mundane though….. work stuff mostly
