I looked at nutra system and it's super super expensive, I think it was like 300 dollars a month or some such price*and for that amount a month hell I could pay someone to come cook for me, and from scratch.

Yes, yes I know it'd be very cheap to learn to cook an prepare all my own meals an cook it myself and such, but I am lazy and I have no interest or desire in cooking or prepairin meals, I want a meal that will come out of the fridge ready to go, and is healthier than tv dinners and most junky crap sold in stores in the frozen food isles..

I like pot pies! are they overall pretty healthy though? Cause you look at your average microwavable stuff like hungry man tv dinners, and it's a thoughsand calories, 900 grams of salt, and the fat content isprobably through the roof too.

The only suggestion I can think of is to do a whole bunch of cooking, say once a week or so, then freeze your own meals with healthy portions of the various foods that you've prepared.  Then just pop an individual serving in the microwave or oven on a daily basis.  There are tons of foods that taste fine after being cooked, frozen, then heated again.

i lost 70 lbs in 4-5 years just eating cereal and salads and water.  i could have done it a hell of alot quicker but i cant do cardio...i would likely have lost that weight in 1-1.5 years if i was able to do cardio.  but then i have wonderful metabolism.

196-125 from 1998-2003
still a size 4-6 even today...im never going to be big again...thank god.

point being you dont need them expensive diets...and you dont need to cook.  discipline, routine, exercise.

I agree with Marie.. it's healthier to make your own meals.  You control what goes in them.

If you want to do your own cooking then freezing prepared portions, look up groups that do OAMC. Once A Month Cooking. A lot of areas have local groups that get together and do it in a community kitchen. I am not a big fan of pre-made boxed foods. You really can't eat just those and really be eating in a healthy manner. Potpies taste great but just look at the label, the ones you buy frozen are not good for you day in/day out. If you want, I have a super easy recipe for home made ones using leftover roast chicken, frozen veggies & a can of cream of potato soup.

You arent going to find cheap, healthy AND premade. The whole reason why the premade cheap stuff is cheap is becasue it is made with the cheaper(and less healthy) ingredients. You can opt for something like lean pockets, which are about mid-range cost wise and fairly good for you. And if you watch for sales, you can occasionaly get the lean cuisine premademeals for mid-range too. Outside of that, the healthier it is the pricier it is. Unless of course, you go for the steamers vegetable dishes. They come in all sorts of varieties, and I know at least locally by me they are pretty regularly advertized for 5 for $10. Very good , quick, 2 serving meals.
None of them are delivery services... but they might do.
Also, check bagged salads. Oh so simple, and also can be cheap.

Contessa bagged meals are pretty good I like their stir fry orange chicken, only I do not stirfry it I just pop it in the microwave and I don't use any sauces on it either. btw are there any sites that tell you the nutritional value of most microwavable foods?
