Alrighty guys and gals. . . I am off for the day. It is raining, so not sure how much crane work will actually be done. They are so unreasonable about that ya know.

Well, I had summer in Phoenix, so that makes up for it! I was out here in FL during summer tho for my interviews...yeah, it ws HA-YOU-MID!!!!!!! My first interview was in June, and I made the mistake of wearing a poly/wool acetate lined skirt.......NEVER AGAIN! I don't know what I was thinking!

wifi is a wireless internet access network that is available in many metropolitan areas.

In some cities it is free, and in others, it's free if you know somebody's password or the network is not password protected.

Holly, are you on satellite TV out in your end of the sticks? You're supposed to be able to get internet via satellite in some parts of the country....mabe you can look into that? Or are you on cable? You have my sympathy about the problems...I never realized just how much I relied on my computer until I didn't have one! I went out and got a little thumb drive thingy just so I can access the Wi-Fi here at the hotel......no way was I going to go back to dial up! *shudders* Then of course, I spent the $$$$ on a wireless keyboard and mouse......now THAT'S cool! No more wires for the kittehs to get tangled up in! And it's one of those ergonomic type keyboards, it's a little different as far as the key placement, so if you get a lotta caps from me, I hit the stoopid caps lock again......it sits where the tab key used to be for my pinky finger! And there are all these little pictures on some of the keys....but I think that's for Windows Vista, not XP. I suppose reading the user's manual would help, huh? meh, maybe when I get really bored......

oh yeah, Holly......and adding the panty hose didn't help...there is nothing more creepy than the feel of sweat running down your butt crack.....like in a river of it!

And it wasn't really hot, just humid as hell!

I hope that ain't TMI........

Holly, why you telling people there is no internet access there? Just do what we all do. Put a microwave and a typewriter together, and voila! Instant computer!

Dream, I moved.....it looks like I'm going to be taking a job with the highway patrol here in Jacksonville.....did the last two steps day before yesterday, so as soon as they have the results, I should be hearing good news from them...at least I'd better, since the Captain here told the folks at Tampa that I wasn't coming to their interview yesterday! Each office puts out it's job openings, and I applied for every one of them.......the CPT asked me where I wanted to be, and I told him "well, I'm here, it'd be perfect if I got an offer from them"......duh! Well, there was no "duh"....that wouldn't be a good thing to say!
