ORIGINAL: soul2share I am BEAT!!!!! and not in the good way......still doing the whole unpacking and settling thing......how does one person accumulate so much stuff?????? I just figured I'll unpack, then sort thru what's here and get rid of the stuff I don't need. At least I got the laundry done....all 2 weeks of it! At least with the "home" stuff here, the kittehs feel like they aren't going anywhere soon.....they've quit hiding on me everytime they think I'm getting ready to go someplace. Poor little things......a week in a truck and different hotel rooms stressed them out. And they ALL joined me on the bed last night...the full sized bed...which means I was sleeping cross ways, all pretzeled up.....we ALL miss the king size bed! I'm liking it here, the weather is nice....comfortable during the day, really pleasant as the day ends......yeah, I'm dealing with the humidity ok......but I can ride my bike without feeling like I'm on fire! Or dying ...and to hear birds singing.......not too many of them in Phoenix, mostly pigeons and sparrows. And there are all these cool "leetle leezards"......wait'll the kittehs see them up close! Well, everyone have a good night...I'm going to go soak in the tub and hit the sack......I'm back at it tomorrow......going to go look around the area, see what's here. I have found the Wal-mart, so I'm good there! It's funny, the stuff we pack to move and then, when we get to a new place, realize it doesn't fit/we don't need it/it doesn't "look" right in the new place and so we end up getting rid of it...after packing it...after hauling it 500/750/1000/2500 miles along with the stuff we do need. Jacksonville is a very pretty area. I have a submissive friend who lives in the Orange Park area and she often sends me pix of things going on in and around Jacksonville, the beaches, the Naval Base, the landscape. Enjoy your exploration of your new home, sweet soul.
