The fact is we are getting dicked off by Mother Nature. The last big surge a few months ago fried the computer, so we bought this one. We also had the sense to put a surge protector in to prevent it from happening again.
Mother Nature saw that as a challenge.
This time she sent the surge to the phone lines. Yep...the surge came in from the other end! Thank goodness the modem took the hit and the computer seems ok. All the landlines, answering machine, call waiting thingy, etc are all shot. And there still seems to be an issue with the phone line.
I am getting annoyed.

Me?  The one with a halo-burn is now a wise-ass?  Why holly...you wound me.

Getting a noid?  you mean that cute little character Domino's used to have?  I didn't know those were still around...

Well, unfortunatly the idjets did NOT drop the magnet.  I was really hoping.  I dunno. . . I still do not care if it IS 3/4 inch plywood. . . that dayum thing weighs 20 tons.  The crane operator helped them out.  I was waiting for the crash -BOOM!  *sigh*

But it was finally our turn. . . and it all went out and lifted away very nicely.
