Aylee, I stand corrected.....I always cook my meat down first to get the bones out of it....like I said, I cook the easy way. And I use chicken broth to make my soup, and add celery seed, and mushrooms, so my soup atually is quite flavorful. My mom does it by cooking the chicken, but I find that the stock is watery, and really kind of bland...it may be because she cooks the noodles in the same stock, so it gets gooey from the starch.....I've tried to get her to try the broth......and cook the noodles seperately then add it to the broth to simmer. I think next time I'm home, I'll make the soup.....and by using the broth, it does shave some time off the cooking time. The powdered chicken boullion always tastes salty to me.....but I don't cook with it, so I'm sensitive to salted cooking. That's why I don't eat canned soup.....all I can taste is the salt. Even the stuff in restaurants that are sold as "Homemade".
