on the plus side stevie, I am confident to know already how it feels like to be 98 years old...on my so called bad days when my muscles refuse to relaxe and keep me in agony...so if I would get a heart attack kind of...right now...then I would have covered most aspects already anyway, which Life has to offer and could rest in peace [:D] and don't feel on having missed out much [:D]

Hi Holly, how ya doing? [:)]

fluffypet61 -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (4/10/2010 5:31:53 AM)

Good Morning, Holly!

Good Morning, Steven!

Good Night, Angel!

It is a crispy cool morning here.  Temperature is 33 F, sun is shining, the air is still, and it looks like a nice day.  In a little bit i have to walk down to the mailbox to mail my state taxes (had to pay).  i e-filed Federal taxes (getting some back in direct deposit).

Crude...i know:

The LoudOne was rather quiet (generally not a good thing) so i bellowed into the bedroom, asking what he was doing.

His response...."I am playing wif my diarrhea."

Needless to say, i was off my butt and hauling ass into the bedroom. There he sat with his pen, "writing" in his school diary.

Hmm. . . we may be going to Denton Texas (I think that is the name).  Will that work for you?  And should I stop at a 'package' store first?

fluffypet61 -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (4/10/2010 6:46:03 AM)

Good Morning, Aylee!  Give me a call if you ever get this way again, please.

Okay. . .  how do you get them to not make yuck in the diaper?  I am at a loss.  Apparently this was supposed to be the 'easy' part of potty training.  [>:]

sirsholly -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (4/10/2010 7:39:48 AM)

*laughing at Make Yuck*

Aylee, I made a HUGE freaking deal about Big Boy Undies for about a week. A lot of stress on the undies, then a small coment that if wanted to wear them he had to use the potty.

Finally the day came when he and I went shopping for the bloomers of his choice. Batman and Spiderman and some other character. When Daddy got home the LO proudly showed off his Big Boy undies. In fact..he mooned quite a few people at first.

Accidents will happen. I never told him anything negative when he "yucked"...just cleaned him up and put him in a pull-up for the day/night. He knew we would try it again the next day. In total...I think he had three accidents.

She has the potty down great.  For the love of anything I cannot get her to tell me when she has to "yuck."  And yeah, for some reason I just did not feel comfortable with asking a toddler, "Did you just shit?"  So. . . yuck it is.

DesFIP -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (4/10/2010 7:58:14 PM)

My memory is that they start to squirm when they have to go. So you keep an eye on them and take them to 'try' when the squirming starts. Also about 15 minutes after meals is a prime time to go try. The gastrocolic reflex relates food in and excrement out in a timely manner.
