I am soooo sorry to hear that Aylee...I felt similar when I helped my granny to access the graveyard (I usually was the one in the family who spend time with her to get there by car) and discovered once that a mother from a childhood friend had passed away in a car accident in Majorca....only to find out 1-3 years later (dont remember precisely when it was but it was soon later) that by then her brother was already burried as well (he would be about 35 now maximum, so not an age where you would expect that) and I felt awful for her and hope she has her dad around (as I don't remember if her parents were living together or not). Because losing your mum and brother before you even hit 30 is just plain awful...now, as we don't have contact as such (we only knew each other due to a friend we both knew) I never contacted her and also dont know where she is living yet...
So as others said, I am glad that you can be there for her and just bear in mind it might hit her harder again at later times in life. I still have moments where it does hit me hard at times that granny isn't around anymore and whilst she was at the end of her 70s I simply had my strongest bond ever to her...so it takes time to go through the grieving process....but its good when she has friends to talk to...
