Aylee -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (8/20/2010 5:19:49 PM)

Argh!  Day nine of being on the road for work.  Hopefully only another week and then I will be back home.  I got a call in the middle of working on Wednesday that there was a wild bat loose in the house.  The bat has still not been found (so the brain can be looked at) and Butterhead has what may or may not be a bat bite.  [8|]

I am seriously considering getting her a Bat-Girl costume for Halloween after this. [8|]  I just cannot decide if that would be funny or cruel.

I have finished all of the books that I had downloaded to the Kobo and have just downloaded a few more.  I now have an entire weekend to kill in Mobile. AL (again [>:]) and nothing to do.  I do not even think that I know anyone that lives in a 300 mile radius.  Grrrrr.

I hope that everyone else is having a wonderful week!  [:)]

Hmmm....

ShaharThorne -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (8/20/2010 7:53:42 PM)

Made it to Austin with no trouble, just heat.  Remind me to never eat at the Dallas terminal again.

Lizard has a mild problem so I have to treat her tomorrow.  On top of school clothing shopping.

fluffypet61 -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (8/20/2010 8:06:11 PM)

All i got at the Dallas Terminal was ice and water for my refillable container i carry everywhere.  i usually carry sandwiches, yogurt, cookies, or something else to eat.  So much of my travel seems to be at night when everything is closed or too expensive.

Dallas the one where they have lanes 1,2,&3 going one way and lanes 4,5,&6 going the other way for loading the buses - cattle chutes.  Other terminals just have numbered doors for loading.

Aylee, is your driver with you?

DesFIP -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (8/21/2010 4:23:37 AM)

Morning all.

Why is football practice 6 days a week? Wouldn't be so bad if this kid woke up on his own, but no. That's what mom is for.

I need that going to bed icon here since I'm crawling back in now.

Hi folks,

I am going to meet C-Dom again on monday...which...whilst normally I would be excited about....leaves me this time rather nervous [&o]

Some of you know more about my opinion about him and whilst I am hopeful now to get some answers I was looking forward to after the last meeting with him I am nevertheless fucking nervous...because last time after I came back in reality after some surfing in subspace he had suggested to meet without kink the next time (but that then never took place)...following which I had a lil rant at him when I was in a moody moment...which means....right now I don't know how that meeting will be...just a normal non-kink meeting or if he will put me into my place [&:]

I seriously have to learn to switch off computers when I have my lil moments [&o] It always only leads to more problems [&o]

Good Morning, Holly!

Good Morning, Celeste!

Good Afternoon, PTiB!

It's a nice day so far, but going to get warm today.  Overcast skies and no wind.

Master Rich is on His way to visit me for the weekend.  Then Monday He is taking me to a cabin on Skyline Drive, VA, for three days of High Protocol training and bondage.  After that He is taking me to His house in NJ for a week.

[image]http://www.millan.net/minimations/smileys/shopping.gif[/image] ugh....i do not envy you, Shar. I hate shopping, but shopping with a teenager is enough to make me drink heavily.

Actually, i took my nieces shopping a few times. Since almost everything in the mall was "on sale" (a percentage off) i would not let them try anything on until they told me the price. If something was 25.00 and 33% off, they had to do the math before heading to the dressing room. Funny...they now have another aunt take them....[image]http://www.millan.net/minimations/smileys/biggrin.gif[/image]

Of course.  Although he has been making noises about spending the entire weekend asleep.

So far.  No signs of rabies yet.  [:)]

Of course the wild life people told the other half that bats are very difficult to find once you loose sight of them.  [8|]

DesFIP -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (8/21/2010 10:57:19 AM)

Aylee, doesn't she need the vaccinations before any symptoms if you can't find the animal? Or has that changed over the years?

Celeste,

Yes.  I had the other half check her over carefully and there was a spot that could have been a bite.  She was taken to the ER and the doctors could not conclusively state that it was an animal bite and if it was that it was a bat bite.  She was given the first three shots (One at the wound site and one in each leg).  She will have another today, another in 7 days, and another in 14 days after that.

By the time that rabies symptoms show up it is way too late.

Wild bats only have a 1% chance of carrying rabies, but it is still not something that you want to gamble on.

Finding the bat, freezing it, and taking it to the Health Department is for the CDC.  If it did/does have rabies, the CDC needs to be notified.

The bat had been in the house for at least 24 hours.  (Yes everything has had the bleach-water treatment).  The other half thought that it must be some bug that the cat kept trying to smack underneath the soda fridge.  As it turns out, it was not a bug.

Partly I made the comment because I wanted to see Holly go into her nurse-panic mode.  [:)]

Of course this has all been very fun for me to do almost 2000 miles away.  [8|]  Oh. . . and this is the first time that the other half has had to be the one holding her for shots (or bood draw).  He said that he was crying a bit as well.  [X(]
