Aylee, that so sux for Butterhead!  I'm sure that Dad is doing a great job, but there are the times when only a hug from Mommy will make it all better!  And a hug for Butterhead too!  My ex always used to have something else to do when it was time for shots and blood work on our son, so that left Mommy crying right along w/him!

soul2share -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (8/21/2010 12:53:26 PM)

awwwww, Phoenix, they are so cuuuuuuuuuuuute!!!!!  Growing pretty fast, too!  Glad that the other kittehs are accepting them.....even if it's grudgingly!  Curry doesn't look to put-upon....at least he doesn't look like he wants to push 'em, off the couch!

PeanutTigerinBox -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (8/21/2010 1:49:42 PM)

yes S2S it is amazing how fast they grow...the smaller one (the one where you can see the face) is currently the bigger one...but it seems now that Merlin is getting better as well (I think his eye infection as well as the flea problems put him under the weather for a while). However, yesterday and today both of them enjoyed running around and were fighting on equal levels (whereas in past I felt the need to defend Merlin as Urmel was a bit too rough (as I wasn't sure if Merlin is just a gentle soul or not defending himself much due to being unwell I felt the need to intervene).

today it was so funny, but sadly I haven't had my cam on me on time. Both went outside the first time (under very close supervision as I am still unsure if that fox is still around or not) and at some point pepper (the tortie girl) started to jump around them which looked a bit like a stork with her long legs. It really looked a bit as if she would be playing football with them the way how she threw her paws around them and was really hillariously funny. [:D]

I just really hope they keep their affection towards me (though not as clingy as it is right now) as my other cats aren't that much cuddle cats...so it would be nice if those 2 would be cuddle tigers for me...

time to go off to bed.

good night folks [:)]

and before I forget...you lot rock [:D]

Yep.  I have a couple of stuffies and a couple other things that I have picked up for her on this trip.  She LOVES getting to take her pressies out of my tote-bag when I get home.

Frankly, Mommy would have made sure to have some sort of chocolate for her for right after the shots.  That helps a whole lot.

A friend of ours has came over to give some Mommy-hugs and cuddles while the other half was doing the sanitizing of the house.  It is nice to have good friends.  [:)]  I am not sure if she brought Butterhead's scuffle buddy with her or not.  (Her son.)

I think that the other half is going to be wanting a "play-date" with his friends when I get home.  LOL

Hmmm....

Do I hear a volunteer coming over and cleaning up my chaos? [8|]

You are asking the wrong person here! After having to put my 16 yr old dog to sleep 2 weeks ago due to severe health issues and waiting to get her ashes back, caring for another's pets is the last thing I need right now......[sm=sad.gif]

ShaharThorne -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (8/21/2010 5:16:55 PM)

I hate school clothing shopping, as well as school supplies.

I hate treating Lizard for lice.

I hate my body for not keeping up (hip started hurting).

After the combing, I am teaching Lizard how to crochet.  She will have her own hooks (and not to take my away).

Remind me why I hate the heat...I think my face is a bit overdone.

Did I mention that I hate my body for being broken down *needs a new butt*

Aylee, sorry to hear about butterhead's ordeal.

Aylee, sorry to hear about butterhead's ordeal.

Thanks Jeff.  I hear that she had fun swimming today even though she was limping a bit from her shot.

Celeste:

I gave you the wrong shot scheduale.  It is days 0, 3, 7, and 14.  Not so many days after the last one.  If that makes sense.

soul2share -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (8/22/2010 3:35:57 AM)

Phoenix, just keep socializing with the kittens, brushing and petting and lovin' on 'em.......but don't overdo it....my two boys could have been little lovers, but everytime my roomie's neice came over, she'd grab hold of them and wouldn't let them go, so they both learned to run from being cuddled......I'd so want to smack her when she wouldn't let them go, and then she'd complain cuz she got scratched.  Boo was a tad quicker than Smocch when it came to running to the basement, so it was always Smooch that got the grab and "hug" treatment.  I still can't hold Smooch, and Boo is finally not so independent...he will allow me to give him "scatches".

lol, you're such a little cutie pie, holly, how can anyone resist you at all?

doesn't mrjim have to defend you against hordes of males? *eyeballing a few ladies* and some-a them as well!

DesFIP -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (8/22/2010 7:11:24 AM)

Hugs to Aylee and Butterhead.

Chocolate or other candy after medicine. My kids would get one M & M or Skittle after each dose of antibiotics for an ear infection. I always figured one little candy couldn't do much harm and made taking the medicine so much easier.

When we had to put a certain cream on Butterhead's face every night for over a month we used those Gheradelli squares or Hershey Kisses.  We kept them in the fridge and then et her hold them while we put the stuff on the certain areas of her face and hands and legs.  It made things SO much easier.

And as far as creating a candy eating monster. . . well. . . about half or more of the time that she runs to the fridge for a "treat" she picks a piece of fruit.  She calls them all "apples" but there are pears, peaches, and apples there that she likes to pick from.  I can live with that.  LOL

It is okay Holly.  Overall, the steps needing to be taken have been taken.  It is not like she needed stictches or a cast.  She was able to go swimming yesterday.  She is doing just fine.  It is hard for me because I cannot inspect her leg myself.  But I am tough.  Mom tough.  OL
