Well, I can breathe again....I accepted a job offer today! One that is a guaranteed hourly rate, not the piece rate crap I have now. But I'm going to keep the current job too.....I want to get my past due bills caught up, and this is great news for Christmas....I'll acutally be able to buy presents! The only thing that would be a problem is if the job I have now won't let me swing my work schedule around...but the grapevine says that may be happening anyway! We have a new account that has swamped us, so I'm confident that they'll work with me....but with th luck 've had lately, well, I'm not counting any chickens yet!
It is so nice to know that the light at the end of the tunnel isn't connected to an oncoming train! My landlord has been a godsend too....I've only been able to partially pay the rent for the last two months...essentially, I've just given him my whole check....and he hasn't said a word about the rent still owed, and there's no indication that he's looking to evict me either. This man is absoutely, positively the greatest! I tell everyone about him, and refer people to him all the time. It'd be nice if they rented from him, but he has so few places available because he's a great landlord.....takes excellent care of his properties, doesn't take crap from tenants, in fact, he doesn't have any problem tenants...at least the ones I know here. If I'd lived anywhere else, I'd have been evicted and on the streets when I first lost my job.
