CyberDom08 -> RE: Glorifying Doms in Journals (6/6/2008 7:48:12 AM)

And once again, no answer!!!

CyberDom08 -> RE: Glorifying Doms in Journals (6/6/2008 7:49:28 AM)

And once again, rhetoric and a personal attack thrown in for good measure

I don't like hearing from people with thousands of post's because as you have demostrated, I think most are interested in just saying something in ridicule.

Not true, but I do like to laugh at someone's expense at times, especially if they're farm fresh, like you :-) .

I don't really want to know what you think because you don't have enough posts for me to take you seriously.

came4U -> RE: Glorifying Doms in Journals (6/6/2008 7:52:41 AM)

How would you know OP, if someone changed their profile every 3 months?  Looks to me that you just joined the site mere days ago.

Sounds more like somebody (no names mentioned) maybe got tossed a few times (in another name) by women who actually met a person (in r/l) and found happiness instead of being dommed by someone typing dorky tough-guy stuff.

Get over it.  Grown men don't whine.

edited for forgetting the question mark. Not worth whining about though.

CyberDom08 -> RE: Glorifying Doms in Journals (6/6/2008 7:54:00 AM)

Personal attacks are always the first sign, I see that a peson does not have an intelligent answer.

CyberDom08 -> RE: Glorifying Doms in Journals (6/6/2008 7:56:00 AM)

Thanks for proving my point, kitten!!

But some would-be doms do.

OmegaG -> RE: Glorifying Doms in Journals (6/6/2008 8:11:02 AM)

First off, in all the negativity that we face in everyday life, with all the complaining that goes on on the boards, with all the people that have to take antidepressents because they feel that their life sucks more then everyone elses around them, why would it be wrong for someone to focus on the possitive in their life and document it?

I keep a gratitude journal, not here or where anyone else can read it, because quite honestly somedays the things that I can come up with to be thankful for a completely laughable.  But keeping a journal, be it on-line or elsewhere that keeps one focussed on the good things in their life helps that person stay grounded, helps them to not dwell on the negative issues and lets them purge the dissapointments so that they don't become over sturated with them.

Personally, I like to read happy stories.  I get bogged down by those that never seem to have anything good to say.  Sure we all need balance in our lives but we all know that the glowing sub has her dark moments, we all know that there are hiccups on her golded road but she chooses to continue to see the good.  And I think that is a good thing.

adorability -> RE: Glorifying Doms in Journals (6/6/2008 8:12:42 AM)

Well, I'm a newbie here, so to speak...lol...don't know that it makes a bit of difference; as how many posts I have don't change my past experiences or viewpoints worth a darn.  I'm basically just a latecomer to this particular party...

But, I'll echo what others have said, coming from my 'fresh' (as opposed to stale) mouth,  perhaps it will hold more weight with the OP.  The beauty of this media is you don't have to read anything you don't want to read.  Still, let's say you are truly curious about it.  Hmmmm, you have effectively told the majority of regular posters here that you don't WANT their opinion, even though they have:

a) Likely encountered more of those profiles and the people behind them
b) Are more likely to have written such an entry due to the amount of time on the site

But, I'll venture a guess anyway.  They write it because they want to.  Because, they will benefit from it in some way.  Those ways are likely as individual to the person behind the post as they are to the entries listed.  Chances are, they were not writing to you, about you, or for your benefit.  Which pretty much sums it up nicely- i.e., they posted it because they can.

Why exactly do you feel the need to read all those entires- and then let them bother you enough that you need to start a thread about them on a message board?

What was your point again? That you wanted to insult people who have more than five hundred posts?

You're lucky we're a laidback bunch - this is nothing compared to what We can do to you. Mincemeat .

xxblushesxx -> RE: Glorifying Doms in Journals (6/6/2008 8:15:17 AM)

Because they're in love.
Because they are trying to prove how wonderful their love is. (either to themselves or to others)
Because they focus on the positive. Would you really like to read "Master made me do the dishes again, and now my hands are all wrinkly. This sucks!"?
Because they are in a new relationship, and have that honeymoon glow.
Because they are allowed to.

Any or all of the above.

LadyLynx -> RE: Glorifying Doms in Journals (6/6/2008 8:15:33 AM)

Well CyberDom, I was going to post sincerely before, but........you mentioned no one over 500 posts. (and not a sub ethier, *shrugs*) It's true, that alot of people like to tease and make fun of others, and sometimes those posts outweigh the helpful ones.  But come on! grow a sense of humor!  The majority of the laughs I have had in front of my computer, has been as a result of some really funny or ridiculous posts/threads.

Here is my answear to your question: why shouldn't those ladies post in their journals about their happiness?  And if it seems that they are collar jumping, (or in general relationship jumping.) well maybe they aren't the one for you.   You see, here on the CM forums, we see alot of males, with a similiar problem: Not that many females to go around.  So you have to be patient, and try to widen the net as much as possible. (like looking on more then 1 site.) and I havn't read your profile, but by your nic, I am assuming that cyber is all your looking for.  that counts against you as well.  Alot of ladies don't care for cybering.
Anyways, I hope this helps.

you want to know what's sort of sad? i was actually curious in my first reply. why does it matter? what makes this such an interesting topic to start a thread? these things fascinate me. and the sad thing is this is the snarkiest non-snarky response that i've written in a long time, though most of my posts seem to be coming across that way lately lol.

Lynnxz -> RE: Glorifying Doms in Journals (6/6/2008 8:18:19 AM)

A pouty, patronizing attitude is SO SEXY in a man. It turns me on to submit to a twue dom with the attitude of a fiveyear old who's mother just turned off the TV.

On topic, what's wrong with using a journal? It's there, might as well put stuff in it. [8|]

xxblushesxx -> RE: Glorifying Doms in Journals (6/6/2008 8:21:37 AM)

*whisper* do you want answers from 'fresh' subs because they might be easier to pick up on?  Just curious */whisper*

OmegaG -> RE: Glorifying Doms in Journals (6/6/2008 8:23:47 AM)

There was also at least one woman here who stated that she created her profile because her Master wanted her to use the journal as documentation of their journey.  I think when one knows that the person they are talking about will be reading it will certianlly be edited for the intended audience.

WalterRego -> RE: Glorifying Doms in Journals (6/6/2008 8:24:19 AM)

I don't keep a journal, but write e-mails to my Mistress every morning, every evening and often many times during the day. In effect, I guess you could say it's a private journal between us. I've just finished (a bit late today) my morning e-mail.

She opens me up. She excites my mind as well as my body. I write to her the same way a rooster crows to the sun in the morning: in happiness that the sun has come up and I have another day to live under it. The same way that religous people say a prayer in the evening: to praise and give thanks for the fact that they enjoyed another day under Mistress' providence.

And if some subs can experience and reflect that with more than one Master or Mistress....so what? Isn't that the kind of sub you want?

Perhaps you just  haven't yet  given any sub that experience and joy which would make them want to  tell how much you've enriched their life.

I love your words.

fairerthanshe -> RE: Glorifying Doms in Journals (6/6/2008 8:27:27 AM)

The stuff I write in my journal is there because I think the things SJ does to me are smoking hot and I want to share it with my friends.  SJ is an extraordinary sadist and wonderfully imaginative.  If it gets some of my friends hot and bothered to read about it, so much the better.  Also, its a way for me to preserve some of the things he does with me.  If I've written them down then they stay fresh and I can revisit them again and again.

Its not because things are always rosy, though they are, or because we are so perfect together, though we are, or to shout out to the world the magnificence of the one I serve, which he is...

We've been together for a year and I love writing about what we do.

well wishes ~ fairer than she
