I feel that the true measure of wealth is in having it-but thinking to use it to leave a positive legacy that benefits others behind. Used selfishly-in luxury terms-it tends only to be corruptive and wasteful-and the benefits are transitory-you cannot take it with it. People like this are soon forgotten-except for thier villany.

 But leave a lasting legacy that is connected to you-and you will live in the kind thoughts of future generations for many many years. And there may be many who would never have even been, had it not been for you.

Hey, just because Bill Gates has a heated driveway and surround sound speakers underwater in his olympic-sized pool at home, doesn't mean that he doesn't donate billions to charity.

Sorry, your attempts to construct a box...have been *terminated*.

In my world, I'll take a black kettle over a box, anytime ;-)

Chickpea;

I'm sorry, I'm a bit dense. (yes, and I know it too) but, Bill Gates does so much to give back; are you suggesting that him enjoying the money he has made as well as sharing a larger portion of it than most people would is a bad thing?

If someone works hard, stumbles across a brilliant idea, is given or earns a large amount of money, does that mean they should not enjoy it also?

Forgive me if I misunderstood. I suspect I did. But, that's all I could take from that.

Tia,

Christina, I don't think Bill Gates has anything to do with this.  You're witnessing a multiple-thread drama invasion, from a quarter I would never have expected.  Goes to show what little I know.
