nelbot,
First I went and read your profile because i was wondering what would make anyone "hit and run" email attack and block you, and I am still confused. I personally saw nothing that would cause such antagonistic and cowardly behavior. If someone is so base as to find offense in your profile to the degree that they feel the need to attack you, my advice would be to compleatly ignore them, they are not worth your time nor your effort, you should not feel the need to answer or defend yourself. Stand firm to the convictions in your profile, if they are right for you then that is your decision. No hit and run email then block immature person, be they Dom Master slave sub or tarn ( sorry IB Sir for stealing your line) should have power to affect you. The advice to eat chocolate is sound, everything is sweeter with chocolate, i made some fudge would you like some? I know this can be annoing, we have had it happen, not here but on a swingers site we are on and though it peeves me i don't take it personal. Brightest Blessings!

Profoundly ignorant behavior is simply becoming an unfortunate part of our society. If you don't believe me, drive on the beltway around Wash DC almost any hour of any day. Its not surprising that those kind of people find their way here too.

In response to the OP...

Hopefully you are aware that chicken-ness is hardly a trait that only applies to dominants.

I rarely block people here and when I do, it's usually because I can't stand the font, color, or horrendous way they try to communicate. Yes, I am a Grammar Nazi, even though I know my own English skills need some work.

I think arguments that arise from forum posts should be kept in the forums and not hidden in the shadows of emailings. One of the primary reasons for this is that how a person argues can be a great way to see their true personality.

I have seen more than my share of people who are so polite, courteous, intelligent and well spoken in public turn into the ugliest, rudest people under the cover of private emailings. If someone is naturally an angry and spiteful person...okay, I have no problems with that. Just don't try to portray yourself as some uber-sensitive, peace-and-goodwill towards mankind kind of person.

Unfortunately, there is no shortage of chickenfolk.

~Thorns

P.S.
Is KFC REALLY changing to Kitchen Fried Chicken?
Yes, I remember Chickenman...even dressed up as him for Halloween when I was 5.
Thank God those pictures got lost in a move.

Dear MrThorns,

Since your slave is a little jocular anyway.........

Heres is a hell and highwater idea.......

Dress yourself as Chicken Man, and thunderously boom and shout and spew invectives and doom and destruction...........

And if she laughs.........it's the henhouse for her.........

What's the chance she holds a straight face for oh, say-- two or three seconds???

LMAO at the idea.

Ron

OK, IronBear you humble me with your sense of fairplay.....
I suppose the joke would then be on MrThorns.........

I will say as an aside that I wore one of those long, pointy collared shirts once and a friend took a picture, I actually went hunting for it and destroyed it.

Actually I will locate a few of the toys I have pictures of mate.. the "Pear" is a pear shaped object about the size of a pear. It was originally designed to use of a fractious woman and could be inserted orally, vaginally and annaly. A part of the handle can be screwed in or out opening (I think 8 "petals") so the whole device may be again rotated to "scrape" the insides where it was inserted. My understanding is that few people survived for any length of time... I can see the advantages of it to remove hemeroids thoigh but parhaps some what too drastic for modern medicos.... Soon as I locate the Pics, I'll send them to you...... When MSN sorts itself out and moves my webside to the new location, I'll be adding a torture section in my home page and give you the link too.....

criticizing them for and disagreing with their profile

I'm going to add a bit more to this.
I see/read/hear this alot, more than just "profiles" but what one believes this lifestyle is about, their kinks, their lifestyle anything that is diffferent than the person doing the bitchin.

It's almost common place in other places I find but normally talked about behind ones back rather than discussed like an adult. My point being that this whole thing called the scene has made a serious swing with its new members being more and more judgemental, opinionated and finger pointing.

When I came into the scene the mentality was that it was the one place we could all celebrate our differences. Instead, it has been for some years now a place to judge people on what they enjoy.

Regardless of where it is happening, it's a shame that it happens as often as it does.

I'll also add this isn't only a dom thing, it's not only a submissive thing either. It's sad people being scared thing.

IronBear- I'd love to see what you have, too. Torture is a purely academic subject to me but it sounds like you have some fascinating stuff!

Ahhh...the Ol' ChickenDom O' Doom scene:
Slave is bound nude to the cross at the wrists and ankles.
A small surgical tray is just within her field of vision... displaying all of my most vicious devices.
Her only order is to not make a single sound.

Then...from the shadows, she hears the faintest sound..
cluck....
cluck....
cluck....

It grows louder with each beat of her trembling heart.

cluck...
CLUCK...
BWAAAAAAAK

The horror...the horror

i respectfully disagree Sir. i've had my share of people flaming me here, and i have asked them to take their gripes to email so as to keep the boards free of flames. i am always ready to listen, make peace, etc. but i find that never happens on the boards. Sometimes it takes speaking in real time in YIM or whatnot. However, i feel strongly about flaming; either block the person you object to or email them, but do not flame the boards.
