But then, you are so easily disappointed, I suspect. And you also seemed to see yourself placed at the centre of a holist metonymy and me. I am very keen to disabuse any casual readers of the existence of such an association.....

Whew! I am so glad you disabused me of that association.

I hope the mods let this thread go on and on. The irony here is just too perfect. So many of the posts bring to mind the old "Methinks the Lady doth protest too much" line from Shakespeare.

It's like some kind of existential dadaist antidisestablishmentarianism within a post apocalyptic, diasynchronic syllogism. Anyone else think so?

Poor deluded thing. I have NEVER and would NEVER send you personal mail. It is a very troubled personality who would publically claim that I have. And I suppose I have blocked you too have I ? This thread is putrefaction enough without another ChickenDom in drag weighing anchor and drifting off....

You feel threatened by another Chicken Dom? You shouldn't.

Bob,
How great is that sentence! Using dadaist, diasynchronic, and antidisestablishmentarianism; in the same sentence should qualify you for some sort of reward. Based upon perception, some New Zealand, University who runs info-mercials late night must be handing them out like chick-lets. But I think you have to be living in a basement with your mom for the scholarship program.

In oder to avoid termination, posting to the OP...

nelbot,
How great is it to have a textbook definition of "chicken dom" posting? When the official on-line dictionary is printed we'll even have a picture reference! Remember, if you ever do decide to meet a person make sure they have the confidence to stand up for what they say and integrity for honestly. You know, just the opposite of this illustration.

Since I'm "blocked" I imagine the poster boy shouldn't be able to see this; however I suspect as he has in the past, he'll read it, reply and then re-block. Is there another definition? No, but there is a shorter antonym - Coward.

Thank you kindly, Merc *bows, smiling*. I am an archaeologist, so I sometimes get to work with people who actually speak and/or write like that. It's great--like being paid to walk around in the middle of a Monty Python bit.

I also have access to Oxley and Morton's Archaeological Buzz-Word Generator:

RAOTFLMAO !!
I prefer the traditional sage and onion but as the poorly crafted invective spews forth, I am not tempted to come out of retirement. They can have the last word--it is far more compelling than anything I could say.

btw. Oder is a river in Germany.

The Doms attacking this Jacques person have just shown themselves to be small, immature little boys with inferiority complexes. That most of you are middle aged is another sad fact. Know doubt you will think that I am another "multiple personality" just because I happen not to think much of your behaviour. Most is dorkish and better belonging to a schoolyard. Jacques is clearly a clever man but he has not been that clever--he should not responded to any of the silly stuff that has been tossed at the guy, though I must say, his responses to the lamebrainers have made laugh out loud. Grow up boys ! Kindergarten is where this argument belongs....§

Good Morning Jalis
But how can you assure the 'lamebrainers' as DonJ9069 puts it, that you are not another figment of my fertile imagination" :-G You're even online now. I can see the frontpage of the tabloids in Palos Verdes reaching a frenzied fever pitch....

It was fun for a while. However, the two main protagonists lack a sense of subtely and nous.
It is much more fun to have to think than take sanctuary in a lame litany of put-downs. Their abject failure to pick up on the more obscurer references earlier meant this this was always go to be a disappointing corral.

I have seen jali on here quite a bit. Her posts are invariably thoughtful, insightful and funny.
Of course, beware, that a small and vocal minority probably thinks that she too is one of my agents in the field. Please don't tell them the truth, now will you, they confused enough as it :D

Dunno, smilez but Merc seems to be hopping around madly already like a turkey with its throat cut. I waiting for Focus to the bird dance again. There was a lot of frothing at the mouth before, but there posts got pulled. I just think they are trying to convince us they of their simian ancestry. Jacques is clever and rather dishy though IMHO.

Only a chickendom would ask such a question of me.
are you going to apologise for the slur ?

Uh.. no.

Ask a question of you? I don't recall asking anything of you... I did make an observation regarding various statements that have been made and certain interesting behaviors. If my observations are insulting to you...ok. I for one, am unable to be insulted by something I know to be false...maybe that's just me.

You may very well be paranoid, but as I understand she is a new member.

Whew! Glad you laid that one to rest. Even though every name-gamer I have ever encountered had multiple new member accounts...I feel secure now that you have explained this.

I'll have to try this technique the next time I write a paper. By citing my own paper as the primary source within the bibliography, who could possibly contest my theories? Brilliant!

Hope you all have a wondermous day.

Y’know guys the thread was actually funny for a while. I’m not naming names, but when posts deteriorate into personal attacks and naked insults something is wrong. Oh yeah, naked personal insults are not good and definitely not cool, insults clothed in humour may be more acceptable. For myself only, I just don’t give a rip if J has invented one, two or even ten identities. So, he has conversations with himself under different nicks.. so boldly what? Gees it may even be that talking to himself maybe the best way for him to hold an intelligent conversation, I don’t know. We’re all playing here just not all the same game. I could name half a dozen people here who probably have me tagged with Jacques as an idiot, player even a wanker….. I can live with that .. Guess what? I’m probably and all of those things and if so I better be the best idiot, player even a wanker in Australia …. Ermmmmm What’s your claim to fame? What have you ever done which is so great that allows you to sit in judgement of others? What makes you think that you can ridicule someone out of Collarme or ridicule them so much that they will quit posting? There’s a couple of folks I’ve lost all respect for due to their personal attacks, because they don’t like something some one says or because they get abusive when some one has different ideas and post in opposition to their posts. Talk about being mean spirited, narrow minded, bad mannered and intolerant. Well I’ll state here and now I don’t give a shit what game Jacques may or may not be playing, I take people at face value until they shit on me. I just happen to like the guy. You can hide your heads in the sand or snigger behind the screens, I’m keeping on talking with him both in the forums and in private.. He has a wicked SoH which appeals to me anyway. Some of you have already judged both of us and made your judgements. Good! Now get on with life. If I was going to name names, which I’m not, I’d challenge you to have the balls and come out from under the dunny and just say openly that you would be happier if neither of us were here. Wouldn’t have any effect but at least you’d get my admiration for honesty and courage. Fffff****ruit bats, You lot here and one in the Gorean Forum who is almost as bad except he has more class and doesn’t personalise his attitude but just uses a condescending manner, sarcasm and innuendo as well as a holier than thou attitude. At least he is honest, are not doing yourselves and favours.

*sigh* i used to argue with people like You, and i am trying to learn it's not worth it. Better to drop the matter once personal attacks have been made. IB has taught me a way to do so, and i am grateful to Him. Just because i admire Him (and lust after Him) is no reason to attack me. i have only said : i find Him to be of Great Character and Honor. So far, i cannot say the same about You. i was particularly put-off that You would publish on the boards anything Jacques said or did on the other side, in private. Emails and such are by their nature private. People generally expect and deserve to have their privacy respected.

Focus, i cannot understand why You're so upset, but it's obvious something on this thread pushed Your buttons. i can tell You from experience, posting while angry is not good for You or for the boards.

Believe it or not, I didn't attack you! And the only thing vaguely upsetting me in this thread is that you've chosen to interpret my comment as an attack. Twas merely a "tongue-in-cheek" poke at your obvious liking for IB, nothing more.... *sigh*

Posting while angry?? True, I was non-plussed at IB's uncharacteristic "barracking from the bleachers" but I've generally had nothing but fun in this thread. Your "anger" comment proves nothing more than the obvious, that you don't know me at all - and for my part, you have my sincere regrets and apologies for what I hope is nothing more than an unfortunate misunderstanding.

Focus.
