perverseangelic -> RE: Sick of the rude people on here. (11/15/2005 8:38:40 PM)

I'm guilty of walking away when in IM conversations with individuals.

Often, I will appear to be online (logged on) to IM, but away from my computer. I usually go idle, but my cats hop on the keyboard and bring me back. People message me and I don't respond. They then proceed to call me all kinds of names because I didn't answer.

When I get back, I nearly always send a nice message saying I was away, but my cats tripped the mouse. Mostly, people respond positivly to that. NOt all do. :( (last night, someone called all manner of unseemly names 'cause I explained I wasn't around. ~shrug~).

Also. My partner is my first priority. If I'm in an IM conversation, and he asks for me, I go to him. Generally I say something about the fact that I"m leaving, but it's nearly always abrupt. This, too, has garnered me some horrid insults. Regardless, he's -flesh and blood- and important to me, and if he wants my attention he gets it.

This is neither here nor there. Just saying that, even in IM, there are often very good reasons someone didn't respond, or responded slowly, or juststopped talking mid-conversation.

If they never resume contact, well, you can assume that s/he wasn't a match for you anyway, no? Why stress about it?

Look mate, if you are talking to a trik, and one of your friends has a quick word in your shell pink, this is excelent but you don't need to advertise it. just contact your group of friends to pass on any warnings WITHOUT and animosity as a friendly warning and let people see you gettig oin with your life. To make a huge production of it gives the perp power which she will use to her advantage and make you look a paranoid fool thus negating the warnings.

Now it's unfortunate that You are last, Stunning, but just today i have read at least 4 Ops about how CM people are rude; unreliable, fakes and wannabes, etc. i'm sick of listening to "Doms" whine...this is unbecoming in the extreme. i thought Doms had self-control and self-discipline; what the hell's with all this whining? If You've read the forums or spoken in email to any CM people You KNOW we ALL suffer rudeness and fakes...just suck it up and enjoy the lovely opportunities the site offers or move on...without further ado.

Note: Not speaking specifically to Stunning; i'm just amazed at all these similar Op posts.

I find it ironic that some of the responses find fault with me for posting at all, yet they replied to my post. I was just venting about a rude person.

And no, while I have never had a woman tell me she was not attracted, Iimagine I would not feel good about it, but I would not shoot back at her. What's the point there?

Do you have a picture of her? If not, maybe she knows you and it freaked her out, since you said she was local.

Almost my exact response to my students, candystripper. "Whining is not attractive." *They've* been able to learn quickly that it's non-productive. [sm=lol.gif]

**Also not particularly addressed to Stunning.

Changing the subject line can get annoying. Usually that's used to indicate that a notestream has changed topic significantly. One Usenet protocol that I support is to leave the original topic at the end of the new one and indicate the change with the term "re" or "previously."

Just because they call themself a Dom/Master, that doesn't mean that they are imbued with those traits.

RiotGirl -> RE: Sick of the rude people on here. (11/17/2005 11:21:18 PM)

People that know me, know i am not intentionally rude on IM.

Those that dont and start to "buzz" me on yahoo get this reply from me

"you are not a fly so do NOT buzz me, its annoying"

And if they get rude or pushy or amillion other things they do on yahoo that bug me, i just ignore them. Sometimes i'll taunt them and sometime when its one of those hng i tease and tease and tease them, i make them beg. i drive them nuts and then i put them on ignore.

If she lives in your city, is it possible she recognized you and just isn't interested? While i agree, an email telling you she changed her mind would have been nice, but people aren't always nice.
