If you weren't looking why did you even respond?

Her no reply was a reply. What do you think your honest reaction would have been had she sent back a message saying that you weren't her type or that she found you to be unattractive? Would you have said "Thank you, I respect your opinion. Have a nice day" Most likely human nature says most would have turned the tables and sent her back a message telling her that she was fat, ugly and worthless. Fill in the blanks with whatever words you chose. People get defensive when their attractiveness is questioned. She probably just wanted to avoid scenarios that she may have had to deal with in the past. She took the easy way out. Nothing wrong with that.

edited for spelling

I have to disagree on this. I would much rather recieve a note saying "thanks for the contact, but I don't feel any connection, good luck" than silence. Yes, some will get pissy over such a response, but that puts the ball of good conduct back in their court, to either be adult about it or childish.

I have to say that I do respond to just about every email that I receive. But there also is the fallout of saying no thank you...some get angry, some bombard you with emails asking why not and some do say thank you.
My response to the OP was why some don't answer. I've been on the receiving end to just about every response you can imagine. Whether I choose to call them on their rude behavior or not is largely based on my mood and I have gone back and forth with some. And some turn out to be ones that I correspond with here on this site quite frequently.

I know some people do respond in negative ways like that, and I don't know why, other than immaturity or mental illness lol.....and I'm sorry you or anyone else has had to put up with it..........I've never had such a response, but I have recieved the silent treatment......3 times in recent months, all from women that contacted me first, and seemingly were unhappy that I choose not to chat on Instant Message....I say that because all three times contact halted when I told them that *shrugs*.....

With me, if I don't feel the relationship or connection will develope, I always try to become friends with those who contact me if I see they are honest, but if for some reason I discover that they are simple minded or only into the sex/kinks, I am more of a mental/psychological domme than I may not respond if I feel they are sending me a message they sent the whole wide world, I figure my silience is a answer all within itself!

If by "a message they sent the whole wide world" you mean a mass mailing of sorts, yes, I would just ignore those too. And I've seen some use what I call the "throw everything at the wall and see what sticks" method of "dating" lol....where they troll every single woman entering into a chat room....those I can understand being ignored, as well.

Yes that's what I meant, I normally do respond although it may not be as soon as the submissive or person desires, and if they keep responding asking me and asking me why I don't respond,it takes even longer;)

This happened once before. What is it with people who are so rude? I think it shows a weak mind.

i think if it's only happened once before you're beating the averages...lol.

In my POV, it's not a weak mind but a thoughtless, unmannerly one. However, it's life. i deal with it.

best of luck,

Note: Not speakimg specifically to Stunning; i'm just amazed at all these similar Op posts.

Treat the messages as a simple litmus test

Or read the OP's profile. We all are interacting with "arguably the most intelligent man in the lifestyle." I know I feel privileged, and thoroughly wised up.

Taking the words of Queen Anne, he seems awful, artificial and amusing... of course he's not a cathedral

BitaTruble -> RE: Sick of the rude people on here. (6/22/2006 7:44:45 PM)

The OP was written about 7 months ago. I don't think he's reading this anymore.

stef -> Sick of the stupid people on here. (6/22/2006 8:27:58 PM)

In "honor" of the people who revive comatose threads and add absolutely nothing of value, I've changed the subject of this thread to something slightly more appropriate.

Yet he is I'm sure an imposing edifice....Or is that artifice?

findmedaddy -> RE: Sick of the stupid people on here. (6/23/2006 11:53:23 AM)

Ah well, it was cluelessness on my part, not a desire to trouble anyone. I apologize for forcing you to look at an old thread.

findmedaddy -> RE: Sick of the rude people on here. (6/23/2006 11:55:38 AM)

Thank you. A much nicer way of pointing out that I might want to look at the date on the original post. Not that I'm not one of the "stupid people" on here of whom stef is sick, but even we hopeless morons deserve a little kindness.

stef -> RE: Sick of the stupid people on here. (6/23/2006 12:44:03 PM)

Since the corpse of a thread was revived before you ever posted to it, you weren't one of the people at whom my post was directed.
