Sorry for the hijack, Prinsexx. On topic (maybe[;)]) you've asked me several times in various threads to email you, and I haven't. The #1 reason is that I don't know if you are able to keep private things about me private. If you're able to do that for people in your real life, I will have greater confidence that you can do it for someone like me, who you only know online.

A collar is a symbol, it's meaning as serious or as frivolous as the person offering or wearing it. The gist of what i understood prinny to mean was that once a collar goes around a neck the D then begins to take for granted the s. Perhaps the flip side as well.... once accepted the same happens with the s - they take the D for granted. Instead of it being a symbol of something already established it is a symbol of something else entirely - perhaps of insecurity, passion? i like what leatherist had to say - what happened to earning a collar? This is how one would mean something to me. It would be the difference between me joining a sports team and simply because i was a member getting a trophy as opposed to working my ass off in training so i could perform well to actually earn one. i like to work for the important and valuable things in my life - there's a lot of pride in that. i do believe that one can wear an "internal" collar, as it will, around one's heart. If i am committed to someone, whether or not i wear an actual tangible symbol around my neck or not, if i am devoted to them wholeheartedly, i don't need the external validation to direct my actions.
