I spoke to Steel tonight, and he is having browser issues, and therefore difficulty getting back to CM.

He has worked out his childcare issues and even has a backup plan. Go Steel!

Due to his wife's work schedule, the bash will be Thursday, Oct 16, 2008 thru Sunday, October 19, 2008.

Steel mentioned in his original thread that he has given up on his birthday, because it has sucked for a number of years (and not in that good slutty way either). So what we need to know is, who is serious about going? If no one will be going, then we will be making alternate plans (since he doesn't gamble, there is no reason for him to go to Vegas unless other people are going).

So, are ya serious? Are you going to go?

It would be advantageous to have everyone under one hotel roof; however, we do understand that people's budgets will vary greatly. I told Steel I would do some legwork on trying to find a reasonably priced hotel that had GOOD beds (having just spent a weekend in a reasonably priced hotel with CRUMMY beds, I don't want to repeat that). If you have budgetary concerns, and don't want to post dollar amounts here, feel free to drop me a note on the other side with as much info as possible (how much you can afford, what's important to you such as room service, etc.), and I'll do some research.

I am guessing that anyone of any age can go. This is not a hosted event per se, meaning that anyone that wants to go, can go. If there are adult activities, then the age of 18 and over would seem prudent. Steel no longer drinks, and is not interested in gambling, so I'm thinking any birthday party get-together would not be at a bar nor in the middle of a casino floor.

MB, I used to go to Vegas with some friends of our family. They had kids, and I went with them to be their babysitter. Except that the mom really didn't gamble and usually stayed with the kids in the room while I did... uhhh... other things.

So I figured I'd hit all angles of the age thing at once. Sheesh. Ya dirty-minded perv.

We chatted with Steel back when this was in the planning stage. Glad to see it has worked out.

We've booked our hotel. We'll be there from Oct 16-20th; already booked our room.

We're celebrating our 25th anniversary. We celebrate each month so we can catch up with our parents (63/50 years).

Planning on going to the 'Green Door' on one of the nights. Please keep us posted about any plans. See you in Vegas!

I don't know. You know, vagabond here. I will be back in the states by then and hopefully with a job ... but if I'm teaching, it would depend on the Uni's schedule. I'm a definite I wanna but gotta deal with scheduling (just like Florida)... But hey at least I don't say, "yes I'm going" and then blow you off... Cause all I do is just blow... just like Dear Cali says. ahem.

First thing I need to do is check the vacation schedule at work and see if I can get the time off. Same goes for My little girl. Then we can chat about costs.
