I find that hard to believe. Plus, even if it were true, Wal Mart or whatever is not about to run down everyone who copies or posts their own pics. Any picture you take of yourself on vacation sitting at home what ever, you are the owner of. Any picture you hired a professional photographer to take, They are the owners. The law says the "author" is the owner of the copyright. The author of a photo or image is usually the person who snapped the shutter or created the image. If you took the photo, you own the copyright. If a professional photographer took the photo for you, then he or she owns the copyright. If that photographer is an employee of a studio or other person in the business of making photos, then his or her employer is considered the author. If You take a professional picture to Walmart and they make copies of it for you with out the consent of the photographer they can be sued by the photographer. It's already happened and this is why there is such a big deal about photo copyrights Law now. Go to any Photo Lab, Walmart, CVS, Walgreens and check ask for the copyright brochure. I wouldn't say this if it wasn't true.
