You got water?! All we got was an empty glass.

BitaTruble -> RE: What you won't read in the NY Times or hear on Colber..Truth!! (10/7/2008 12:46:53 PM)

You had a glass?

Elitist!

LaTigresse -> RE: What you won't read in the NY Times or hear on Colber..Truth!! (10/7/2008 12:48:37 PM)

We had those old aluminum cups that came in different colours. And some nasty plastic tuperware type things.

Oh, and only faucet water in my house!! No such thing as filtered or bottled water. Or, in summertime, the garden hose.

BKSir -> RE: What you won't read in the NY Times or hear on Colber..Truth!! (10/7/2008 12:49:10 PM)

Wow, no koolade?  And I thought y'all were a bunch of weirdos before!  Oh well, I still loves y'all.  And I STILL drink koolade.  Granted, it's usually mixed with vodka, but, that's a different matter entirely.  (yes, I know, how white trash of me.  I think it tastes good though)

kittinSol -> RE: What you won't read in the NY Times or hear on Colber..Truth!! (10/7/2008 12:49:40 PM)

Elitist. The new liberal.

LaTigresse -> RE: What you won't read in the NY Times or hear on Colber..Truth!! (10/7/2008 12:50:43 PM)

Now I am reminded of that horrible, get you drunk, beverage called Purple Passion.[:'(]

Ohhh, I just remembered something funny. Am I the only one that had one favourite faucet in the house to get your drink of water. It seemed to taste better and was colder.

Water elistist

In the third world, where I come from, we drank water straight from the tap. And that was it. Although we did get to drink it in glasses so I was highly privileged, I now realise.

We did the garden hose, too. That hose all curled up in the hot sun and when you turned on the water, it squirted out water hot enough to burn your taste buds for a week. [:D]

Ohhhhhhh cory. Your zeal is turning comedic in it's, Palin like, creativity.

That's the nicest thing any lib has ever said to me...thank you   [sm=mademyday.gif]

Did you just call Tigresse 'a lib'? If there's something more annoying than constant labelling, it's constant erroneous labelling [:(] .

Purple Passion and Boone's Farm were holy water for those of us that grew up in small towns.  In my day they were cheap, effective elixirs for getting laid.  My first sexual encounter is owed to purple passion.

Psst... it's spelled "Olberman"

(Just didn't want you coming off like a ranting fool, who didn't even bother to check how to spell the name of a nationally known broadcaster... much less check his facts in a partisan echo-chamber post.) [:D]

Pssssttt.....you call him Olberman, his Birth certificate says Olbermann...I think you should have done some research and checked the spelling.  I rest my case about libs just mouthing off with DNC talking points and not really understand what they are voting about or for...

Ubarmann is my "play name" for this maniac who takes himself so seriously. You know "Ubar"  as in the German Uber...my palinesque attempt at comedic text.  Sorry for the confusion....He just doesn't deserve to have Uber...
hey, another joke...!!  [sm=ass.gif]  Cum'on...chill

....define lib......

bipolarber -> RE: What you won't read in the NY Times or hear on Colber..Truth!! (10/7/2008 1:31:36 PM)

So... your idea of insulting someone is to call them "Superman?" Or, if you prefer, a "superior man?" Depending which way you interpret German...

That makes about as much sense as any of your other posts, I suppose...

....define truth.

Ohhhh to be sophmore in college....seeking the truth!

And that probably is the definition of truth..each of us seeks our own truth and our definition of truth is seen by others in the way we live our lives....Socrates never said HE had the answer to what is truth...but he did excite those around him (and he never charged, according some historians) and he encouraged them to find THEIR own truth.
In my opinion, what is NOT truth are statements from people who don't take the time to study an issue, study a leader or one who would lead us, but instead depends on the agenda driven media that editorializes all the news and TELLS us how they feel and how we should feel about an event, a person, a political program,  instead of giving it to us straight up..(why I love C-Span).  That is not truth...that is blind ignorance and a waste of brain cells.

It doesn't really make a difference to me if someone is conservative, liberal, democrat, republican, or whatever. As long as he/she doesn't come across to me as intelligence challanged, I enjoy the discourse...It's when everyone on the other side of an issue sounds like a soundbite from CNN or MSNBC that it truly gets boring...but to them...that IS truth...and I only pray that God..or Mother Nature, the Sun, animals or a statue, ...or whatever people believe or don't believe in bless them...and keep them from voting....  :)

Here, I have a suggestion for you: before you label someone, make sure that it's accurate, and that they don't object to the label. Because I realise that labels are all the rage in these unsettling times, but they can be bordering on insulting, especially when they're inaccurate. Deal :-)?

Forget about the parties, we are going to vote for a man that will be responsible for the security of our families not an academy award for acting,

The job of the President is to protect and defend the Consitution. It is not his job to make sure nobody gets killed in another terror attack.

Hollywood aside, where do each of the candidates stand on that issue?

I think what you are referring to is the "oath of office" that the President takes..."to defend the Constitution".  His "job description" is IN Article 2, Section 1the  U.S. Constitution...
In addition to the powers (read job responsibilities)  in the Constitution, federal law has conferred upon the President specific authority and responsibility covering a wide range of situations.  Protecting America, you and me,as Commander In Chief would rank as one of his primary jobs, at least I hope the President has that sense of that as a priorty, instead of building windmills on the Great Plains, or checking tire pressures.

Philo, I think bi was talking to cory.
