DaddyBoo and I have been talking to a gal who is very interested in WIITWD. Her husband is not interested, but doesn't mind her getting her curiosity sated as long as (and please pardon me while I try to type this with a straight face) it doesn't "adversely impact her ability to parent." That was a direct quote from her husband while we sat there with them, answering his questions and allaying his fears. (Yes, I said "fears" because the dumb girl showed her husband my "after" pictures from a week ago when DB had a lil "come to gary" meeting with my *ahem* "person.") Not smart on her part, and she was advised of the violation of my privacy because I had not given permission for her to show them to her husband, and for the love of gary, you don't show the faint of heart some shit like that, esp. when they are already nervous about WIITWD!!!

OK... back to the reaction of my beloved DaddyBoo when her hubby said that she needed to come home after playing, "intact, willing to be an active participant in their marriage, and be able to parent." Well, those of you who have met DB know that He has that very sexy Luther Vandross/Barry White type of voice, and His laughter is like music to my ears. However... I (the compulsive gigglebox and queen of inappropriate laughter) was able to bite my lip hard enough to keep from reacting when I heard the husband say that. DB? Not so much.

This Man who always tells me to respect where someone is coming from, lost His damn mind the other night, and started laughing like a jolly, black Santa Claus. I gave Him the bug-eyed look from across the table, which only served to get Him going again. I was soooo ready to kick His foot under the table, but thought more of my ass than the husband's feelings, (which only goes to show that I do have sadistic tendencies.) Eventually, DB got Himself settled and said, "Sorry, I don't mean to laugh, but what is it that you think is going to happen to your wife? What is going to render her useless to you and your family?" All we got from the husband was the *blink-blink* look, which, of course... made me snort.

I posted this at DaddyBoo's request because after 3 days, this still tickles Him. He also said, "I bet your friends on the boards would've had a field day with that conversation." When makes Him laugh again. I just wanna know, since I've been gettin' my ass and other things beaten on the regular, does that mean I'm not a decent mom? When I ask Mr. Giggles, all He does is laugh.

*snorts*

Do we need to write to said husband testifying to your ability to parent? THAT is funny! I would have loved to hear DB laugh!

A serious answer. . .

The idea of broken bones, infection, too much pain to be effective at work or home, fear, depression, confussion, "mind-fucks", broken heart, desire to leave him, visits from the police, social ostracism, children being affected by school teachers being nosey. . .

Those are probably some of the fears and worries going through his mind.

Red, could they be afraid that BDSM would damage her vagina, uterus or breasts?  Could the "ability to parent" refer to child bearing?

Mr. Giggles?

*snort* I know... compared to Thing 2's assertion that He is Mr. Serious Like Abe Lincoln, this is a veritable kerfuffle!

*pokes you just cuz I can*

Aylee,

I don't doubt that there are very real things that make him scared. The strangest thing is that the four of us were talking about what she liked, and it was basically spanking her bottom and a little hair pulling just to see if she liked that much. He had not been so overly dramatic until she showed him the pictures of my playtime results with DB. I told her, as did DB, that she is never allowed to show my pics to anyone without permission. She was very apologetic and I told her that if she had asked my opinion in advance, I would not have advised it at all, because she effectively freaked her husband out.

He originally thought bdsm was about being bossy, then he thought it was about a little slap and tickle, even though I had discussed it with him at length a few weeks ago. He was ok with what we had discussed and what we said was going to be happening. As a matter of fact, he thought it was assinine of DB and I to ask if he was ok with everything, as a matter of respect. We told him we were not going to compromise our sense of integrity and not take his feelings into consideration.

He has gone back and forth with everything, not just the bdsm stuff. Like dinner... and what he likes or doesn't like. He also confessed that he is very intimidated by DB in many ways, even though DB had only talked to him once and it was about music. They seemed to get along just fine, talked, laughed, blah, blah, blah... He told his wife he was also afraid that DB may be a member of the BBC *wink*. I told her and him that unless I give the nod, she gets none-a-that play, though he thought she would like it.

Yanno, I'ma just beat my head into the wall now. Then I'ma go beat her... eventually.

She's had her tubes tied, so that isn't it, fluffy. He's just very subby himself and doesn't know whether to shit or go sailing most days. His indecisiveness would get his ass into a world of hurt with me. (but I'm a little bitchy and twisted that way)

We have Thing 2's the same age, and we live close by one another. It was after talking to her a little bit that I sensed she was a perv, so I made a joke and she looked like she was drooling, so I outed myself. She is totally excited, but doesn't quite get that just because she's happy with her choices doesn't mean that her hubby will be. (although she has played around with him a little over the past few years)

He's nervous. Maybe I'll ask DB if we can take him to The Crucible on an Extrematorium night?

*smacks my own hand*
