two eye rolls this morning:

one for a lesbian submissive in Nigeria and the other for a too eager "i found your profile interesting ...want to know more about you ...please don't leave me hanging" Ghanan switch.

oh yeah - that dominant who begged me to chat with him - no reply back.

I got the switches too, Sambas... and one of them who said he wanted to know all about me I actually repsonded to, saying "all you need to know about me is that I am getting married"

Imagine my surprise when I got a response!  "awww thats great! Can we chat as friends?"

I told him thanks, but I'm a bit too busy right now.. good luck in your search.

this one actually used decent American English (dropped the ball on punctuation, but who am I to criticize THAT? LOL) and caps in most of the right places...

OK, this didn't happen today, but it's been buggin the hell out of me so here it goes.

I have this "friend" (I've known her for nearly 30 years). As some of you know my Dad passed away on Thanksgiving... and this "friend" took the time to send me a "sincere" TEXT message... yea, something like, "heard about your Dad, sorry." THAT not only made my eyes roll but also made me speechless. Ummmm hello? Since when did texting replace a phone call, or sympathy card, or at least a phucking email. Needless to say, I'm still a bit bitter.

I vote to give Linea the phone number.  I've talked to her quite a bit and I know for a fact that she is quite capable of laying the verbal smackdown if need be.  *oh yes, how lovely to be a fly on the wall*

*hugs girly for the friend who acted like such a jerk*

I loves the verbal smackdowns.  I've even done a couple of physical ones when they weren't focused enough to understand the verbal ones.  It usually doesn't have to go that far.  I have noticed that if they can look at my face while I'm dressing them down, it's much more effective.

I told her that I can't tolerate know-it-all's and such, and she has heard my lose my temper, slaying the nasty little dragons.  Therefore, I say I flatline people.  It sounds so much nicer than kill.

Okay.  After reading your explaination. . . I went back and read the original comment.  Flatline FOLKS makes so much more sense than Flatline JOKES, which is how I had read it.

I had been thinking. . . she doesn't tell jokes well?  She gives the punchline as soon as the joke starts?  She always plays the straight-man?  She never understands jokes?  What does it mean to flatline jokes?
