204 mph tested on radar 10.6 ¼ mile 1982 Trans Am, official NASCAR It was the Michigan International Speedway pace car I bought it and removed the motor, trans, suspension and cooling systems Built it into a full frame car Custom K frames & motor mounts Dropped in a chevy 350 4 bolt main Holly 850 double pumper carbs Street Dominator manifold TRW hemispherical pistons - 11.6 to 1 compression ratio General Kinetic cams, 390 lift, 410 duration (or vice versa, I don’t recall) MSD circle track ignition Custom built header German made 3000 stall converter 400 turbo trans, w/kit, clutches and custom pumps, pneumatics @ 125+ psi Custom T frames (x 2) trans mounts Volvo 25% overdrive mounted post transmission 396 rear end, 9 inch Ford gear custom fit and mounted inside 8 inch Pontiac housing Dana axle shorten Dished and tubbed wheel wells L60 & L50 tires, fronts and back different sizes 104 octane racing fuel (or better) 575 hp Dyno tested to the rear tires I built the car for road racing not drag racing. If needed, I could mixed leaded with unleaded premium gas and the car would run nicely but not optimally. I had a map of all the stations that sold racing (or aviation) fuel from Detroit to Jupiter Florida because I used to take the car on trips there often.
