To answer your question apart from the other issues of guilt: A slave is owned, has few choices.

A submissive is around to serve a role - "Tonight we're going to explore a paddle/ass relationship. My paddle, your ass." When the role is done, the person either sticks around as an equal or goes away until the next time.

A slave wakes up in the morning and reports to a job they love: "First this, then that - then we'll nap. Followed by the-other-thing". The slave rarely sticks around in anothe capacity.

A submissive has clearly defined boundaries - "We do this". A slave makes out a blank check for the day or night - "When you're done, let me know."

I'll end by saying that is how I define it, and how the people I've associated with define it. However, everyone is different.

Think we try to retain some measure of difference's between the two terms just as we do with every other term and its description there of.

Sort of like: Oh so your forklift operator in the Army? Um no..I'm a cargo specialist.

Dom/Master: I don't want you on the pc tonight.
Sub: Why not? Is there something else you want to do?

Master: I don't want you on the pc tonight.
Slave: Yes Master

Thats how I sort of seperate things for myself on this issue.
