Apologies for missing whatnot, as I have skipped this thread to it's end.

As to discomfort externally, consider: DESETIN <sp>

Smells like fish (is/was cod-based)

It's that nasty toothpaste lookin' diaper-rash remedy.

Wear sanitary pads so as to be able to apply liberally.

Ya, only treats the SYMPTOM.

Hey, but it does that well, indeed, and WITH NO EVIL SIDE EFFECTS

NOW, how very RARE is THAT?!?

Actually, this is mostly right....what the leeches do is, when they latch on, they inject an anti-coagulant (blood thinner) under your skin with their saliva (or whatever the equivalent of leech saliva is).  It keeps the blood from clotting so they can feed more easily.  The benefit of this after reconstructive surgery (like reattaching limbs and appendages) is to increase the circulation that might be hindered by blood clots, and circulation speeds healing.  The leeches keep blood flowing to the area and eat up the blood clots that might already be there before they were attached.

I'll go back to my barstool now.

Ooo! Don't they have those new little testing kits that will check for UTIs, and another for yeast infections? I think I saw the yeast one by all of the creams and such at Walmart, and I'm positive there is one for UTIs, you should check it out.

I believe the UTI one just checks for protein and blood...like the dipstick test they do at the doctor...which doesn't always mean you have a UTI...like for me, I always have protein and blood in my urine but the cultures come back negative for infection.

Best treatment I have found is aloe vera with lidocaine to stop the itching, burning and allow things to heal, while under treatment. To help prevent infections I have several methods ( diabetic and prone to them). Aloe is wonderful and soothing.

1. Wash Master carefully before, during and after especially if moving from one organ to another.. e.g fingers, penis or moving from mouth to vagina. Bacteria and other lifeforms that are endemic to one area are not always good to another.
2. White cotton crotched underwear majority of the time keeping  the flimsies for special moments. cotton allows for breathing and moisture wicking while white contains no or few dies. I use bleach when washing them.
3. ALWAYS front to back when wiping.
4. Vinegar and water douches. Keeping the Ph slightly acidic is good, but don't for heavens sake over wash which people tend to do..no more than 1x a month to keep healthy "lifeforms" in balance. Interrupting that balance is what gives a yeast infection a toehold.
5. Stick to showers when you have an infection, sitting in a tub can carry more little "lifeforms" there and leave soap behind. I use baby wipes for washing that area, instead of buff puffs, washcloths etc. They can teem with "lifeforms" feeding on residual soap and exfloliated skin as they dry from use to use.
6. Wash ALL insertables in either Betadine or Bleach and water between uses, store seperately after drying. Never share.

Good luck

Never heard of using betadine for toy cleaning... does it ever stain them?

It can if they are permeable..I use it only on those things that don't absorb moisture like hard plastics, metal, etc. What people need to remember is that even if something is made of surgical steel unless it is all one piece the join between it and the handle is a breeding ground for bacteria.

Everything I have ever seen on yeast infections and experinced personally and had my doctor tell me, is that you indeed can have a fishy foul oder and discharge to boot.

i have a yeast infection...

i'm so uncomfortable, and i smell weird, and i can hardly sleep.

Are you sure it's a yeast infection?  You should not have an odor if that's what it is.

Look on the insert that comes in the package of yeast infection cream.  It says if you have a foul or fishy odor not to use the product and to consult a doctor because it may be a more serious infection.  Not sure where you're getting your info (or where your doc is getting info) but according to the Mayo Clinic and the CDC, fish odor = bacterial vaginosis.

You need to see a doctor.  Period.  Would you risk having something more serious that could actually do some damage?  There is no sense in waiting any longer. We can argue for days over what you might have or not and all the while you are complicating things by waiting so long and whatever it is maybe getting stronger and harder to cure.  Please stop messing around and suffering and go see someone, even if you don't have the money.  Go to an ER and have them bill you, then to keep it out of collections, send them a few bucks each and every month if you have to, but GO please.

A friend of mine was like that... waited... until she couldn't wait and that choice was taken from her.  She was a month in the hosptial with a urinary infection that went to her kidneys.  I wouldn't wait if I were you.  You don't know what this is.  I had a bladder infection that went to the bladder wall... months of antibiotics and now serious problems with antibiotics and them not working for me.  It is better to be safe than sorry.

Good morning!
Are you sure it's yeast?? I ask b/c I have vaginal atrophy which exactly mirrors YI but in the fact that it comes back every 2-3 weeks. Also sounding like it is a one time YI, it can also be a bacterial infection-which also masks a YI but does not go away with the OTC treatments. You have to go see your doctor so they can do the yeast and bacteria tests. They may give you Diflucan or Macrobid if it is bacterial.
For pain-yogurt may help but I found that I myself got swollen after it and hurt even more. I buy AZO yeast tablets at Walmart. When i feel pain coming I take 1 a day. During a full blown YI or "episode" I can take 3 a day. They work within minutes-don't ask me how or why, but they do. Benzocaine aka Vagicaine can help but be careful as it may sting. Mostly you can use that on the outside lips and perineum. I have been dealing with this pain and specialists for almost 2 years so good luck!!!
Love,
Zechriel

I agree. All these symptoms and they are progressively getting worse and adding on new ones? GO TO THE ER. Don't even wait for a regular doc. I had a UTI that went to my kidneys and they shut down on me. Not something you want to wait around and ask a bunch of non professionals on a forum about anymore. Go get checked out.

VICTORY!!!

I'm all better... well mostly.

I can pee like normal, and walk like normal... eat like almost normal, though i'm less hungry...
I went and spend a couple days at my parent's house and I guess it healed me, or something...

I'm feeling SO much better... it's like, a miracle.

I did end up doing a second set of monistat treatment... I did a one day this time, and it seems to have worked.

I'm so excited to feel human again... now I just need to get my boyfriend to go to the doctor for his (probably) bronchitis...

CONGRATS! Now do something about b/f before you come back in a week to ask us about your bronchial symptoms *chuckle*
