I tried that once. But then I didn't get to talk enough. :)

As I have mentioned on the boards before, my partner/submissive is M2F transsexual. I am a woman that had always considered herself to be heterosexual prior to this relationship.

I do not share this dynamic and hope to read comments from some that do. I do think this speaks to the idea that attraction and love has more to do with a person than a gender.

Sometimes i see a profile and it's very appealing; then i get to the part where He discusses what He wants; and so often He wants a bisexual or "bicurious" woman; and i feel sad.

Are straight women just not exciting? Is monogamy just never enough? i have a clear vision of a life or peace and joy with my One; but apparently few men are interested in that vision.

Don't misunderstand; i get mail; but often when i actually IM with Him -- He asks "would you?' and the answer is "no f**king way"; and we come to an end. *Sigh*.

Am i suffering alone?

candystripper

Going back to the OP, not even taking into account the messy twisted thread that followed, I fail to see this as a request for open dialogue on the subject of monogamy. IMHO this was a request for attention and sympathy. The attention was obviously gained, but perhaps you did not receive the sympathy you believed you deserved and that is why this thread turned ugly and mean.

And you know, candy, self-serving apologies are about as attractive and valuable as self-serving submission.

Something to think about.
Peace.

OOOO I just discovered the Hot Toddy this year! Talk about yummy.

LOL the only bad thing about Whiskey and I.....we don't mix very well, which is why I don't drink anymore lol. Ole JD and I...not so good memories there lol.

Oh no, dear heart, thats the wrong kind of whiskey - that's "tennessee whiskey" which is really bourbon. You need a nice single malt irish whiskey and you'll be dancing a jig and feeling no pain as fast as you can say Ring of Kerry. :-)

OK then, it's back to the original recipe of Bombay Sapphire and hot fudge.

ok i am confused.... If my perceptions is accurate... I thought you enjoy pain... So the idea of having two beers would be a very scary thing for you... oh my the idea that a masocist wouldn't feel pain...

Can see it now.... as punishment Master says "slave go have two beers, NOW!, No pain for you" And then he grabs the flogger and beats the hell out of her *G*

Well, the slapping of bottoms for goodies is usually a sign of a good_time_had_by_all.
Cheers!

oh me, you are very good, perhaps you were a carpenter in another life, nailing that hammer right to the head of the nail.....so to speak, (bad analogy,i know, sorry )

Both actions bespeak a rage, and i need to review and try to ascertain what might have fueled that rage.

I would suspect that rage is a bit of an overstatement. From reading every post on both threads (wow, I am a masochist after all!) it it glaringly obvious to me some people object to what is perceived as a pattern of behavior. The fact that you do not recognize this behavior does not evoke rage, but just a feeling of exasperation. What is the point? It appears that for some the challenges of interacting with you outweigh the pleasure derived from it and thus ending those interaction is a logical choice.

If you are happy with your self, secure and unapologetic in your beliefs, and -- this really should not be a big issue. Other will be more compatible with you for budding online friendships.

quote:

i cannot insult LA gratutiously but i will say i think your Master has given you some strange advice in advising you to emulate her. For example, LA has in the past touted the practice of playing/having sex with people she just met.

It seems you CAN insult her after all. See the pattern? Now you will say you did not insult her at all, you just feel that is an unsafe practice and have concern and it is her choice and not for you, and why do people pick apart your posts and not just respect you. But you already SAID it, the obvious connotations are there.

There are a few possibilities that explain this. The first is that you have strong opinions on what is right and wrong and those judgements creep out even as you struggle to take a I-just-mean-for-me stance. The second is that you serially and genuinely do not intend to give an impression that you give, but are just poor at expressing yourself accurately with the written word. The third possibility is that you are at some level well aware of what you are doing but enjoy the victim role, 13 page threads, and the opportunity to individually answer post after post in your oversized purple font as you sift through and determine who your "friends" are in relation to this site.

Perhaps there is another possibility. Perhaps collarme suffers from a mob mentality and everyone is ganging up on you because you are straight and monogamous and don't believe in casual sex. Perhaps you have done nothing wrong at all and people here just suck. Again. And again.

I do think this speaks to the idea that attraction and love has more to do with a person than a gender.

Absolutely correct. When I have looked to answer my own questions about orientation, the only answer I come up with is that it is the person I love & gender simply doesn't play a role in this. When we began exploring our relationship beyond that of casual friendship I had the same questions.

I found all of the things I looked for in a partner in her. Was it so important for my partner to be male? Was that one thing a male could offer me more important than finding EVERYTHING else I looked for in a partner? Every male I had encountered over the years fell way short of offering those other things.

So often you hear people telling others to make a list. Maybe you have even told people to make a list, I know I have... so I made a list. The pros obviously far out-weighed the cons.

I know that my relationship is the best thing in the world for both of us. Even with this knowing we would still love to speak with others. Just human nature to seek out others that are similar to ourselves.

I find this to be true. I am bisexual, and my closest friend is a very beautiful, smart, funny woman. I have absolutely no sexual attraction to her though and can not even wrap my mind around that idea. I can't explain why - maybe because she is as straight as Candy only very vanilla as well? As friends, we are very compatible and very close though.

I have a similar male friend. It is assumed by many that because he single, hetero and attractive, that there must be potential for a sexual relationship between us. There is not. It just not our dynamic. Maybe a few shots would change that, but I doubt it. It is not a repulsive idea by any means, just not something that will happen for us. And we are both quite content in that. The mere fact that he is male and we get along very well does not make him a sex partner.

I have to second the book but not for the above reasons.

I think its a great example of how people can use the words of bondage, domination and submission and others to live in non-consensual relationships. I think there are good reasons when Ms. Johnson got out of those relationships and has continued in others. Having met and talked with her on a few occasions I know she would never want someone to have to go through what she did.

It can be a very scary book to read, it should scare you, but it is her truth and her history. I personally think reading it and talking to her made me much more appreciative of the ideas of consensuality and safety and having a community to turn to.

Considering that she stayed in the relationship for years, I wouldn’t consider them non consensual, but rather unhealthy since both she and her owners were using drugs (including cocaine if I remember properly). Reading her book made me very grateful for my owner.

Bombay Sapphire is only the most excellent delicious gin ever made.
The hot fudge is for....um.
Ever eat chocolate covered pretzels?
You know how sometimes sweet and salty stuff tastes really good together?
That's what it is for.
