I have 4 now of my own, all adopted, the oldest is a barn cat, the two younger boys are garage sale kittehs, and my newest, a little female, was adopted from a woman trying to thin her herd. All of our kittehs in my family have been saved from the pound, or being abandoned. Myself and two other women at work feed the cats around the buildings we patrol. I have 4 at one place, I work there two nights a week, and take in wet food. And there are about 7 of them across the street living under a porch that I feed now too. Apparently, the original 3 kittehs told a friend, who told a friend, who told a friend, etc. Another woman sets down traps for them, and takes them to get spayed or neutered, and then returns them. They are all feral, but my 4 are getting used to me...they don't run as far as they first did. Sounds like Sunshine can look forward to many happy years to come......people say cats are aloof and independent, but mine give me nothing but unconditional love.....well, as long as I give them their food! And cat owners are a special breed....heck, I went out and bought a king sized bed just so I'd have room to sleep on it.....no way would I ever consider kicking them off the bed! Can you say "SUCKER"??!! (I even grew bangs so they couldn't see the damn word on my forehead......fat lot of good that did!)
