I have four (at last count) feral or dumped cats hanging around my house I dearly wish someone would catch and take. The shelters do not want them and they are costing me hundreds of dollars.

Why is it that some feel because you have a farm it is alright to drop off their "disposables"? It is NOT alright but i prefer they dump them with me than by the side of the road.

I have had more of the little angels dropped off than i can count. 5 adopted us and the rest were taken to a shelter. The five we kept are the sweetest  and most loving cats you will ever meet!

I don't get it either Holly. The sad part is that I think I know who has dumped a few of them. People that already have too many and are too cheap to spay and neuter, so they just keep having more.

Fortunately I haven't seen any of the wild things lately. Just the skunk that seems to feel our place is THEE place to be. There is nothing that will make your heart jump higher into your chest than to be out walking your dogs in the dark and come around a corner, face to face with a skunk. Knowing you have two dogs, on leashes, that would just LOVE to play with that funny looking, catlike thing. I don't want to kill it but I really don't want a skunked dog either.

Great story. Sunny is a lucky kitty. I have two furballs and i love them to bits.

My girl likes to sit on my chest or lie on me when i am in bed. My boy doesn't like to be cuddled. I have had him for about a year and he's only come up on my lap 3 times. His breed doesn't like to cuddle.

Enjoy your new baby..

I have 4 now of my own, all adopted, the oldest is a barn cat, the two younger boys are garage sale kittehs, and my newest, a little female, was adopted from a woman trying to thin her herd.  All of our kittehs in my family have been saved from the pound, or being abandoned.

Myself and two other women at work feed the cats around the buildings we patrol.  I have 4 at one place, I work there two nights a week, and take in wet food.  And there are about 7 of them across the street living under a porch that I feed now too.  Apparently, the original 3 kittehs told a friend, who told a friend, who told a friend, etc.  Another woman sets down traps for them, and takes them to get spayed or neutered, and then returns them.  They are all feral, but my 4 are getting used to me...they don't run as far as they first did.

Sounds like Sunshine can look forward to many happy years to come......people say cats are aloof and independent, but mine give me nothing but unconditional love.....well, as long as I give them their food!  And cat owners are a special breed....heck, I went out and bought a king sized bed just so I'd have room to sleep on it.....no way would I ever consider kicking them off the bed!  Can you say "SUCKER"??!!  (I even grew bangs so they couldn't see the damn word on my forehead......fat lot of good that did!)
