Instead of telling my pet you can't have anything but water, i limited the intake of beverages that are less favorable, such as soda (twice a week), coffee (24oz a day),  milk (8oz per day) no limit on other dairy. But i do require he drink 2 quarts of water a day (8 8oz glasses). While fitting that in, he does tend to drink less of other beverages. Do i expect perfection? no, but there will be a price to pay if boundaries are crossed too often or far.

Regulating his diet is for his benefit, healthwise, and it plays to the submissive in him. Honestly it's more work than i really would have offered generally. But it is a simple way to keep him focused when we are not together.

And BTW - primarily online relationships are not necessarily less. I have had a marriage where there was less communication with my spouse who lived in my house and slept in the same bed, than my pet and i have now. (hence the reason for the had...) With cell phones, text/pic messaging, instant msg, etc we are an active part of each others lives.

Actually kazza cow's milk is so bad for you and not meant for human consumption, and more and more prominent members of the medical community are saying that. Milk is for baby cows, not people.

You are an adult. You are able to get all the calcium and nutrients you need from a healthy diet. Dark leafy greens also have calcium. I drink almost zero cows milk or fruit juice. I drink water all day. About the only other beverage I drink is one cup of coffee in the morning, most mornings. Occasionally some red wine or a G&T. I do eat cheese, yogurt, and loads of fresh fruit. No problems at all.

very seldom have i heard of males having a calcium deficiency. Water would be way healthier than most of the things we in the west drink.   For the most part, if we cut out soda most of us would lose weight, and since the obesity rate is over 50%, that would probably be a good thing.
Sorry,  there isn't anything bad about just drinking water       -   though i wouldn't want to do it.

Every now and then, if I want to drop weight really quick, I stop drinking everything except water, black coffee, and black tea.  I keep my diet the same, just get rid of all the other stuff.  (On the calcium issue- I've never been a milk drinker, I prefer yogurt)  No soda, juice or alcohol.  If you're the kind of person who gets their necessities from food instead of drinks it shouldn't be a problem.  Difference is, I do this for MYSELF.

I'v drank only water for extended periods of time (3 months) and was just fine. After a while I didn't even miss the other stuff.

Humans are the only mammals who drink milk beyond babyhood.  Milk is not a nutritional necessity.  The only reason that we think that is due to the ad campaigns by the dairy industry.  One can get plenty of calcium from vegetables, fruits & meat.  I haven't had a glass of milk in decades & I have no calcium deficiency issues at all.

I have been drinking more water in the last year, then I have been in my whole life. I had an enlarged prostate due to getting jacked up on 6 diet Mountain Dew's a day. I work nights with lots of overtime, the caffeine was my go-go juice. The doctor told me to cut back on soda pop big time and my prostate should shrink. So I cut down to two soda's a day, and it did shrink. Water is boring, but it improved my health.

Crystal light to go packets are great for that. O f course she may want him to have blandness with this order so they'd be out for him but i love water,  with packets of crystal light, and I love pure plain water. it's all I ever drink any more besides ice tea.


I don't drink juices or shakes or soda's or any of that stuff. I drink clearly canadian bubbling water too i with fruit flavors like sparkling peach, but it's 99.999 percent all water, and that's by choice.

In my mind it's all about how you choose to view it, water is as exciting or as boring as you make it, with all the things out there you can do to it to spice it up a bit.

Yet another misnomer.  Milk is only for the consumption of the species producing it.  If you enjoy it and it is not in conflict with your health, then enjoy dairy all you like.  It is NOT, however, necessary to consume dairy products to meet calcium or vitamin D needs.  Fish and leafy greens are great for calcium.  Vitamin D is most effective for the body when produced endogenously by good exposure to sunlight as much as possible. 

Further, juices are a concentration of the most sugary part of a fruit or vegetable.  You are losing all the vitamins, minerals, and fiber you would be getting from eating fresh, whole fruits.  Cutting out juices means you are getting the fruit servings you need and less caloric content.  You are also helping yourself be more satisfied after a meal because the fiber will help keep you feeling fuller longer.

Lean meats, nuts, and eggs are great ways to meet protein needs.  Don't forget about such things as beans (legumes) as these also have a high fiber content for more bulk as well.  They also tend to be full of nutrients that are found in few other food sources.

Remember, drinking is for hydration.  Hydration means consuming water.  Dressing it up only makes it more interesting and adds to the burden of work for our bodies to get that quenching it needs.  Whole, unprocessed foods and plenty of water will keep you well nourished.  If in doubt, add a high quality multivitman that is specific to your biological sex.  I see nothing particularly harmful in this command.

I will say this is a huge thing to be doing based on an online only interaction.  She seems to have your well being at heart and perhaps this should bolster your confidence to move this to real time.  I bet it would be a great motivator to see how much you taking good care of her property would give her joy.  Just the way I see it.

Fundamentally, that's true, but the story actually is a little more complicated than that. First, it's not "Humans". You should narrow it down further to "caucasians". Most mammals, including most non-caucasians, actually can't properly process milk beyond the first few years of childhood. It's called lactose intolerance. Asians tend to be particularly prone to it, I believe. I can't remember off the top of my head if some other populations (Africans or American indians) may have also evolved lactose intolerance.

Caucasians evolved adulthood tolerance for milk a few thousand years ago in connection with the development of agriculture. The theory is that this gave a survival advantage because it allowed these humans access to an additional source of a high-protein, high-fat type of food. So saying that "it's the dairy industry" is not right.

BTW, I hear that other populations developed different adaptations to locally available foods - for instance, apparently Asians tend to process starches differently due to the prevalence of rice in their diet.

I have always drank primarily only water.  Didn't really even drink milk as a baby, my mother had to mix it 50/50 with tea.  Cereal with water is just plain disgusting, and really isn't about "drinking" another liquid.  I consume other dairy products and such, but still have calcium and vitamin D issues, although it doesn't seem to be related to my milk consumption.  Consuming too much of anything isn't good for you and almost every liquid that you will drink is water based (even milk)

Not all Caucasians can tolerate milk, just those from a predominantly Northern European background. I'm Meditteranian and lactose intolerant.

However I wouldn't eat cereal with water, that's just disgusting. Personally if I'm craving a bowl or Raisin Bran I add apple juice.

i have no issues with milk, but i'm mostly northern european by ancestry.

and i prefer yogurt with granola, but that's me.  (TheEngineer likes soy milk in his.)

Its not so bad, I went through something similar. Diet cahange with a new mistress. It wasn't a forced thing though. Just spending so much time in her company rubbed off on me really. Im now drinking about 2 litres of water a day and eating loads of fruit, where I wasn't before. I've also switched to brown bread instead of white. The only thing to atch out for with an increace in your water and fruit intake is that your body will start getting rid of all the nasty stuff that was there. You may start to find yourself developing spots :-P though this will pass in a few weeks. This side effect doesn't effect everyone, but it did with me unfortunatly for about 3 weeks :-( Im all cleared up now and much better and healthier now because of it.

I've spent some time in the company of nutritionists, have a vendetta against unnecessary medication and question every piece of research that says "X food is bad for you today, but good for you tomorrow". Here is what I've learned...

Vitamin supplements are wholly and utterly pointless unless you have a specifically lacking diet - vegan for example.

Drinking water alone will help flush your system, and if you were to stick to simple salad ingredients for, say, a weekend, you will find you've detoxed yourself, have more energy and feel much better in yourself.

The regular, modern western diet is such that any talk of not meeting your required levels of vitamins and minerals by only drinking water is ridiculous in the extreme.

Let's face it, water's pretty much the healthiest thing you can possibly drink. Your Mistress has done you an immense favour, OP. Be sure to thank Her and recommend it for Herself too

Above bits are the most sensible diet-related advice I've seen in a while: thank you.

The least processed the food you eat, the better.

If a product has a HUGE ingredient list chances are it's not good for you. A good rule of thumb is, when reading such lists, "if you can't pronounce it, don't eat it".

If you're expecting to get the maximum calcium from your dark leafy greens, remember to add a squeeze of lemon juice to it. Although spinach, kale etc have a great deal of calcium, they don't unlock that easily. It isn't just taking them in, it's being able to access it.

Actually adults tend not to absorb the calcium from milk. Many other products contain good calcium intake, the best one being watercress.

As for the ops question, all I can say is think about animals... do they drink milkshakes, cola, orange juice, tea, coffee or alcohol? we are the only species of animal that drinks anything other than plain and simple water once weaned.
Tea, coffee and most alcohol contains caffeine and similar chemicals that make them diuretics, meaning that regardless of the water content they will dehydrate you.
If you take all these things out of your diet then your going to look healthier, feel healthier and probably live longer.
