TELEGRAM - Great News! The Frito Banditos have changed direction and are on their way to El Paso instead!! Where the heck are we on the map, anyway??

*thinking we're gonna need a mapmaker's office (or whatever the heck those offices are called, lol) and a mapmaker to help us with that*

MusicMystery claims we are somewhere near Nillaville. At the moment, I think we're just an elevation note on a territory drawing.

I'll add 'cartographer' to the list - and we'll  hire one of the surveyors away from the railroad company's team to help him. You'll need some cowboys to accompany them as outriders. I think the (one) hostile indian is still searching for scalps LOL

Apparently its time to update the infrastructure list

Hmm... think I'll take a stroll down to the water well at the edge of town. Looks like a nice quiet reading spot, as it's been out of use for who knows how long. I'll bring my parasol and fan so I won't be bothered by the heat of the sun. No one will think to find me there, perhaps not even an indian brave, or that strangely pretty Lozen woman. Maybe stop by that swanky restaurant the Judge lady owns for awhile.

Oh, and I have some sleeping pills my pa sent me from back east. I don't need them, but maybe that man with the talking dog will?

Dream, mind if I join you? I brought a picnic of fried chicken and strawberry shortcake. Maybe we can walk to the river later and take a swim!

I (as the banker) load ALL the gold from the various buildings onto the train. I take the magic rod I got from one of the diverse "religions," wave it and suddenly the tracks APPEAR!

"All aboard," shouts the conductor and ONLY the three-legged dog jumps on saying, "Like I'm going to follow the horse? Nope. I was promised a saddle ride and then that weird-ass Rider showed up. My man was taken from me.... As soon as they looked into each others eyes, I thought it was time to look for Bear. Oh, well. Bear's money's on this train and he's not around. Silly rabbit."

*wriggles around, stuggling in vain to get free of the ropes holding her captive*

I was only trying to visit the library. Won't someone come and ravage, uh, I mean SAVE me?

*looks around to see if anyone is coming.*

FR

Got sucked into this thread. Having fun. Came up with my character. Got to page eight, seeing if it got taken. Not so far, but DAMN this thread keeps stretchin. (Like the railway across the praries).

I wanna be the greedy cattle rancher. (Translation: average capitalist; entrepreneur spun as the bad guy)

He has the nicest house, all the money and the land. He hires the gunslingers. Hes gonna get the water rights...or the railway land deal...or whatever mcguffin is in the script.

He has a housekeeper or cook. You KNOW hes doin her.
He has the pretty blond daughter (well at least they both SAY she is his daughter; heads off the gossip)
He controls the sheriff and even (gulps at idea) Judge LaT (Easy, judge. Only with lotsa cash. And promises to back your play for Governor when you are ready to run.)

Could be makin a play for the school marm. You realize he would undo that bun right quick.
Probably the silent majority partner in the brothel & saloon. Can have the girls up to his ranch, several at a time, for private engagements.
Owns property in town. (Whats that, my dear? You say you cant pay the rent? Well, perhaps we can come to some...aRANGEment ^twirls moustache and leers^. What would you say to a little -fate worse than death- action?

Foiled by the hero in the final half hour, you say?

Fiddlesticks. Have you read a history book?

Big Money trumps a white hat.

If they (or you and or your daughter) haven't, Mr Lon, you could always come on over to the library and pick one up.

Hi dream

Why, thankee maam. -tips black hat-

(Hey, just cuz I am cast as the villain does not mean I cant be polite-like.
...Especially to the hot librarian.)

Heck, I might even be willing to settle a considerable endowment on the library(an).

Deadwood Forever! I'll happily be Alma aka The Widow
aka The Lady from back East. Lots of Westerns have a
Lady who comes out West bringing culture and civilization
with her. She's also usually hoping to find a cowboy to bang.
