This has actually been going on for a while. I am sure new prodding will occur since the message sent by Bush was "I am willing to go to war and use nukes to protect our interest in South Korea". Bush did not say exactly that, but with what he did in Iraq without proof, and military responses to NK during his term, it was pretty clear. All we have to do is wait long enough for this crazy to die, and hope the next is not as crazy. While it has been small nukes they have been testing, up till this point, it does not take a large one to be devastating to the area. This is one area where we need to show that we will not flinch, and will respond if NK shows aggression. Either that or pull our troops out, and let the rest of the world deal with this shit. This is my prefered method, but that is just wishful thinking. quote:
ORIGINAL: Politesub53 http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/8069457.stm I am suprised no one has mentioned this lately. What with the recent tests, both of nuclear bombs and missile systems, surely North Korea is a bigger danger to world peace than Iraq and Iran ever where. The fact NK have WMD`s already and are making threats to South Korea, and in doing so, US forces, is a major concern. Or at least it should be. This is the only area of the world I can imagine a limited use of battlefield nuclear weapons taking place.
