And the cat I had while I was married was a box lover too....but she'd hop in and sit there waiting for one of us to come along and push her in it.  Her fave was shoe boxes, and we'd sit on the floor and shove her back and forth to each other like we were rolling a ball between us.  It was really funny when the box would flip over....she'd get up, flip it back up and hop in for another ride.  She was a hoot!

I was in the living room, and kept hearing the dryer buzzer going off.  I'd put clothes in there, but had opened it, so the timer was off.  I went out into the kitchen, and Smooch is sitting there looking bewildered.  Apparently, while he was getting situated on the towels I'd left there, he kept bumping the cycle start button, making the buzz noise.  I can't turn the buzzer off on this dryer like I had in the other place, so I just shifted his butt for him.

And I keep gettting the ebil kitteh look from Squeaks....she's sleeping in the bathroom sink, and even tho I quit turning on the light, apparently, my mere presence is enough to piss her off.  She is SUCH a Princess.......not!  I told her to get over it or I'd turn on the water....and she'd probably just lay there....she did it once before.  I'd heard Maine Coons like water, but didn't think she'd sit there while it was running.

YinYang is on my knee, Zelda is on my hip. The other two are plotting a coup. Or are feeding themselves.

I guess Angel is tired of the heat. She didn't ask to go out last night, and has asked to go out today, which is unusual for her.

Misty was was kind enough to let me sleep in today. Sometimes on the weekend she gets concerned and tries to wake me up if I don't get up at my normal weekday time, but today she didn't.

I learned long ago not to buy toys that make noise; fun for the cat yes, me not so much. You should at least hide it when you're trying to sleep though.

Staring at the fish (fisheses?) (fishies?) with hungry eyes.

LinnaeaBorealis -> RE: What is your cat doing? (8/28/2011 10:05:55 AM)

I finally got a wire cat brush & Booga's fur is almost completely beautiful & free of mats. It was weird, because it was like one day he was fine & the next day I looked & he was all matted on his back. He's been really really good about allowing me to groom him like this. Next up, Pookie. I will never have anything but a short-haired cat again, I swear!!! These guys have a sort of medium length hair, but I've never seen a cat mat up like these. I wonder if it's because they're too fat to groom themselves properly?

I love how they switch sleeping places around. For weeks, Pookie's been sleeping in one of their beds & Booga's been sleeping on the chairs. Now they've switched. They like to sleep on all the chairs so that if I have a visitor, there is no place cat hair free for them to sit. Hopefully once I get them both groomed I can keep the hair under control & won't have to deal with it on the furniture so much. Also, the colder weather is coming & that should help, I'm sure.

These are the highest maintenance cats I've every had. Whose idea were they anyway???

HE hides it from me.. when it gets close to nap time for me.. the toy suddenly gets quiet, and I cannot find it... and it remains quiet until the wee smalls...

Cashie is no idiot...

(which is NOT to say that Cashies MOM is not an idiot.. *sigh*)

I' afraid that in this case you have noone but yourself to blame. Admit it though, you can't imagine your life without them, right?

Actually I can. I can imagine my world without huge clumps of cat hair & the cat box just fine. Now whether I am willing to go back to that world is another story altogether!! [8D]

Both came over to beg for popcorn. I gave them each a piece and it was thumbs-down.

I'm luck in that Maggie for some bizarro reason hardly sheds at all; the litterbox doesn't bother me - but then I only have one cat.

My cousin came over a few months ago with a toy for Viktor. It's a chirpy bird on this boingy thing.  He loved it.  I would wake up at 3am from chirp-chirp-chirp and it totally cracked me up, until I decided I needed my sleep, so I put it in the linen closet when I'd go to bed.

He since pulled the chirpy device out of the bird and I haven't sewn it back in yet.  He is sooo destructive!!

Today I brought the cat over to the neighbors dinner party.    She was behaved.

These guys make me feel like I have 6 cats in here with all the shedding & peeing & pooping they do. *sigh*

They are outside wandering around hunting & generally pretending to be wild tonight. I'm drinking tea, so I'll probably be up late enough to let them back in. I have the doors open and hopefully they will both make their presence known when they come back. I always thought that I would keep them inside, but they love their adventures out there & they stick really close to the house.
