Amos is 'chirrupping' and 'ack-acking' at SMETHING outside... I havent spotted it, but I need new glasses..LOL

Cashie is staring out the other window... I cant decide if he's staring at something, plotting to get out again, or just happy to be home!!

Right back atcha, Linnea!

Took the 2 boys outside, Sugar came out and had to see them.  KB is pretty laid back and just lets her lick him and hop around him, but Smooch was having none of that!  He told Sugar several times that she was in his personal space....hurt Sugar's feelings....for all of about 2 seconds.  Sugar has the attention span of a gnat.  Queenie was sitting in her doorway with it open, and ol' KB just strolled on by her and flopped down in her kitchen, in the a/c.  Just made himself right at home.  I had to grab him and carry him out when it was time to go back inside.

And of course, they did the grazing on the grass thing, so I just had to do the clean up the puke thing......why they can't do it outside is beyond me!  Otherwise, everyone is plopped down, playing rug.  I'm thinking that isn't such a bad idea, actually!  [:)]

I'm going to give the beebees another week, and then I'm taking them in.  They are so adorable!  They can barely wobble and walk, but the little gray one just loves to roughouse w/his siblings.  He's constantly pouncing on the runt.  Experience has shown that the runt is usually the biggest of the bunch, so one of these days, the little gray guy is in for a rude awakening!  I'll post pics once I have them w/me...crawling behind the bushes is a bitch!

Misty is trying to run across the keyboard to get to my Starbucks iced coffee on the other side, but she's too young for caffeine (plus I heard it isn't good for cats).

Very bad for cats!! When they drink coffee, they turn into baby humans. I read a short story about that. I've never forgotten it!!

As for what my cats are doing? They are being invisible. No mean feat at their sizes in this little apartment!!

You mean she's not a human already? I'd better not tell her that--she'd be crushed, LOL.

Ok, we'll all keep that quiet!!

That's Squeaks' favorite sleeping position, otter.  Usually in front of, or in the airflow path, of the fan.  What's funny is that now Boo has started copying her position, also in the fan's airflow.  Boo has always been a curler-upper when he slept, but I guess he figured out that it's pretty comfy sleeping with a cool belly.

Cats aren't human.....that's an insult to them...they are ROYALTY!!!!!!  There is a distinct difference.....humans have pets....cats have us as servants!  I have no idea how that happened....we were tricked, somehow!  Dumb animal, indeed!

thousands of years ago, CATS were worshipped as GODS... they have NEVER forgotten this...

MysticFireTopaz -> RE: What is your cat doing? (9/13/2011 3:34:25 PM)

Angel's unwelcome boyfriend is back. He seems to have figured out the schedule of when I let her out and now comes over to keep her company. The last few days when I opened the door in the morning, he was on my porch lying on the welcome mat. She can't stand him and came in from the bushes and gave him a dirty look as she came into the house. He's my "foster son" Dusty, the malnourished kitty that I brought back to health 2 years ago who now lives next door. He seems to adore Angel, but the feeling is not mutual.

Unrequited (SP, yeah, I know) love can be such a painful thing!  Poor little Dusters!

Mooch is sitting here trying to do just that to an animal cracker, so I broke off some for him to munch on.  Apparently, it's more fun to steal the whole one rather than have it in bite size pieces, cuz now he's turned his back on me, and...oops, looks like he ate them after all.  He and Squeaks love the cookies!

I tried to see if the kittens would eat wet food, but they aren't interested yet.  I really wish they were.....my schedule doesn't allow for me to bottle feed them.  They are so cyoooooot!!  When I picked them up, they hissed and bared their little teeth like it'd scare me!  One of them actually spit at me!  So far, it looks like two of them are male.  It'd be nice, since they are cheaper to neuter.  Maybe another week.  They seem to be awful wobbly yet considering they are about 6 weeks old.

NuevaVida -> RE: What is your cat doing? (9/14/2011 9:33:37 PM)

I haven't peeked in for a few days and Greedy I didn't know your baby got outside.  So glad he's back home. I'd go frantic if Viktor got out, omg.

A coworker gave me a kitty stroller. It's hilarious.  I just took Viktor for a walk in it - he loves it but I can't get close to the street or he gets too scared.  I feel like such a dork strolling him along but he gets so excited in it, and just hops right in when I pull it out.  Sheesh.

Right now a neighbor's cat is meowing outside my door.  Viktor is going nuts at the window, wanting to get to it.  I honestly have no idea how he'd be around other cats.  I rescued a tiny kitten once and he swatted it across the room.  I tried to take in a friend's cat and Viktor kept pouncing on him to play, which resulted in pissing the other cat off (Ricky Ricardo is his name) and a massive brawl broke out - Viktor is white, Ricky is black, both have long hair.  There was lots of yeowling, and a big black and white ball rolling across the room with fur flying everywhere. Scared the crap out of me.

So...I just don't know about him and other cats.  I told the Mister I want to bring home a kitty friend for my little guy, but request was denied.....for now, lol.

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (9/14/2011 10:22:45 PM)

I'd love a kitty stroller, but I'd have to have a pretty big one......only two of  mine will venture outside on a leash, the other 2 have no interest in the Great Outdoors at all.  Have you ever tried to walk a cat?  Yeah, riiiiiight.  No matter where you start, you'll end up with them going in 14 different directions, one this way, another trying to climb the tree.....a stroller would be great!

But I do laugh at the people who find it hard to believe that my cats are leash trained.  A few have gotten whiplash doing the double take!

There's a guy in my townhome complex who has his cat leash-trained. I must admit I almost got a whiplash doing a double-take the first time I saw that. Now I see him and his kitty on the leash pretty regularly. He's always friendly and waves.
