Richard Hehasissues Mayhem the Doomcat has this quirk about stealing the bath-tub plug. He'll carry it in his mouth and hide it where ever he likes in the flat. This morning i heard a strange crinkly sound in the hallway as i was checking my email, then saw he proudly carrying a new prize, his human-daddy's bag a cough-drops !

Richard Hehasissues Mayhem the Doomcat"......

that just cracks me up everytime I see it! It's the "hehasissues" part....don't ALL cats have issues?

Quigley doesn't know it but he is now 'up for adoption'.

He would not be pleased to know this but I am sick to death of cleaning a litter box and feeding an animal I only see when it's time for him to eat or he wants in or out. He is the basement dweller. The problem is that he is too unafraid of dogs, and allows them to maul him, but tries to avoid spending too much time with them. Nala thinks he is a moving chew toy and will end up killing him, if I don't relocate him, because he is too stupid to stay away from her. After a bout in the orchard Saturday evening while I was feeding horses, he has bald spots and was limping. Stupid cat.

Misty was sitting here begging while I was eating a piece of strawberry/rhubarb pie. To appease her, I broke off a tidbit of the crust, thinking she'd reject it and be on her way. To my surprise, she ate it, then begged for a few more tidbits. Can't imagine what the appeal of plain pie crust would be to a cat, LOL.

Sometimes it's not what they will or will not normally eat, but more that they will often eat what the person they loves eat. Always seemed to me to be one of their ways of bonding with, and expressing their love to, their owner.

angelikaJ- Hmm, I suppose that would be worse than finding an entire dead mouse IN your purse.

My kittles just got treats, and are licking their chops and bathing very meticulously.

Someone felt compelled to yack up a hairball in my bed this morning....at least they waited til I was up and out of it.......

Does anyone have any suggestions for anything that might help a kitteh who appears to be allergic to fleas? Maybe something OTC that won't cost me a small fortune? All the vets around here want way too much for threating her, and right now, since I'm totally unemployed, I have to watch my pennies so I can feed them.

Awwww, that is so sweet to think that her eating that plain pie crust was a way of bonding with me and expressing her love :)

Depending on who it is, and what I'm eating, someone will inevitably stick their nose (or paw) in my food. If it's fried chicken, they'll just hook a piece right off the plate..little piggies! If I want anything to eat at all, I'd better share.......so they usually get to lick the plate or bowl. The fave is maple walnut ice cream and butterscoth and lemon pudding.

Quigley wouldn't eat people food if it was put in his bowl. I've tried when I've run out of cat kibble.

does anyone have experience with Vibrac foggers? I need to treat the kids, and wanna treat the house too. Would some kind of mass market flea fogger work? (the vibrac is 10.00 per 6oz, sold singly GAH!!)

It has for us in the past.

Just remember to cover dishes, put food in air tight containers, get any fish or birds out, etc.

I just got the Adams foggers at Wal mart, Greedy, so far, they seem to have worked, it's getting the kittehs treated that's the pain. Squeaks has developed an allergy (I think) and is licking all her fur off. But when I comb them, I only get maybe one or two fleas. I vacuum everyday, and am using the sprinkle on carpet stuff too. I just don't want to use too much because the kittehs are still walking around on the carpets. I did spring for some Advantage, but don't see where that's doing any better than the other stuff I use.

Let me know if you find anything that will work. This mild "winter" we've had isn't helping. We never went below freezing here for more than a few HOURS. And that was for like 3 days. It's 81 degrees here right now....the damn a/c is running!

No idea if you have them over there, but the Bob Martin foggers are just brilliant. I had a bit of a problem years back, and that worked a treat. Hope that helps. :)

Pepper seriously drives me nuts...

Yesterday I bought 2 packages treats (each package containing 10 cat sausages)...

Urmel and Summer got two each, Pepper got 6, hidden on top of cupboards and inside shelves (cat locked away whilst doing so due to how nuts she goes...as she is like that squirrel in ice age).

Anyhow, I decided to put the 2nd pack inside my cupboard for tomorrow as I'll be off to work for a week (coming home briefly every other day) and that will occupy her...

Well, madam was having none of it, jumped onto my cupboard, opened my shut door (yeah it wasn't locked, but it was shut) jumped inside from the top of my cupboard and jumped outside of it, proudly her find in her mouth

She is so nuts about them, it's unbelievible

Angel is really missing out tonight. She heard my car pull up and the sound of the key in the door, then dashed out like a white streak the second I opened the door. What she didn't realize is that I have a chicken salad croissant and Misty is going to have all the chicken tidbits to herself.

No, but she got some equally tasty turkey tidbits. On top of that, my neighbor probably slipped her some table scraps.
