Begging for food, as usual..

Llyren -> RE: What is your cat doing? (11/23/2009 5:16:49 PM)

Right now Malachi is trying to ooze his way up onto my hands as they type.  Please do not take this as  a lack of attention, because he refuses attention when I'm not online or doing something.  The rest are napping around me peacefully.

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (11/23/2009 7:53:03 PM)

oh yes.....why is it that they always want their loving when you're doing something totally hands on, and can't do anything?  I have one that always wants his scritches when I'm in the bathroom, and another that will literally wait until I'm online before she comes looking for her love!

It's a conspiracy, I tell you!!!!

sunshinemiss -> RE: What is your cat doing? (11/23/2009 7:57:01 PM)

Standing next to me purring and squeaking for attention

Llyren -> RE: What is your cat doing? (11/23/2009 9:40:27 PM)

You just described Orion and Malachi.  Orion only wants attention in the bathroom, and Malachi when I'm online.  But I think tonight his issue was his joints hurt because the weather is changing.  I acquired him officially when he ended up with a nasty break on his hock, and it pains him.  But I give him a tiny sliver of valium, and he's fine.  I've had him fifteen years this week, and I suspect he'll live forever, getting more and more demanding and senile all the time.  The other day a friend called and he was feeling talkative.  I was asked if I had a fussy baby in the house.

My cross eyed Siamese is laying across my keyboard right now, making it very difficult for me to type....good thing she is so adorable or I would have to move her rather than work around her...

Gracious is sitting just out of my reach from here, ignoring me.  Amos is terrorizing any bugs she fins out on the porch.

MysticFireTopaz -> RE: What is your cat doing? (11/24/2009 4:13:42 PM)

Lily is enjoying a drink of water.  Not the normal way, mind. you.  She has to dip her paw into the bowl and lick the water off her paw.

GreedyTop -> RE: What is your cat doing? (11/24/2009 10:32:32 PM)

Gracious is napping, Amos is trying to snag Gracious' food...

Zelda has poured herself across my lap while Cossette is asleep on my pillow.

What's up with the dipping of the paw? Sassy does the same thing. She also dips her paw in the water before drinking from the water bowl, as if to check the temp of the water. [:D]

Miss Kitty is sitting on the computer desk, purring to beat the band.  She likes when I'm around cause I pet her a lot.  *How could I not?

GreedyTop -> RE: What is your cat doing? (11/25/2009 7:37:24 AM)

Amos is watching the rain.
Gracious is grooming herself.

Llyren -> RE: What is your cat doing? (11/25/2009 7:42:52 AM)

Three of them are curled up around me, one on each side, and the fourth is looking out the window.

GreedyTop -> RE: What is your cat doing? (11/25/2009 7:49:28 AM)

Amos is now doing her duty to keep me earthbound by sitting on my lap (damn, she's heavy!!!)

Gracious is..........  I think lounging on the porch.

Roommates cat ...

Max is normally really good about leaving our things where they belong, he is also a manager cat and will watch most things were doing to make sure WE are doing them right. This morning he jumped up on a work table and I thought he would settle down and watch me; instead he looked at a ball of yarn which I was even working with. and decided it was just his size and picked it up because he 'thought it was HIS and took off ...

He did not get far as he had not considered the effect of how it was wound as a ball and he dropped it as soon it gave a tug.

Beats me.  Maybe they like to be different, or maybe they are checking the temp of the water.  I'm glad to hear Lily isn't the only one who does this.  My other two don't, nor have any of the other cats I've owned in the past.

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (11/25/2009 4:27:57 PM)

My mom has one cat that wants to drink out of the faucet...it's the same water that is in their waterer, but I guess it's not fresh enuf!  I have one of those fountains.....the water is really cold, so they are pretty happy with it, but Boo and Squeaks still can't seem to NOT drink out of the toilet.  My mom's other cat likes to try to teach his little furry mice how to swim......so far, he's been unsucessful.....they keep drowning.

When it comes to paws....two of mine use their paws to eat....they snag a peice of cat food and eat it that way.  I have no idea why, but lord....it's messy!  When they get too much gravy on their little footsies, they shake it off......or leave little kitteh prints across the floor.....in gravy!

Yeah Maggie does the same thing.  I don't really mind when it's her water bowl but when it's MY water or coffee...[>:]

Why is it always cat people who starts and keep these treads running? It never seems to be dogpeople.
Maybe it is just because seeing 100 postings saying "Laying right next to me sleeping" could be boring[8D]
