I just brought home catnip from WM......KB smelled it in the back pack and about tore the pocket off! I put some down, the boys ate and then rolled in it and they are higher than kites right now! Smooch just zoomed by me, talking his head off.....had them chasing the dot earlier....now THAT'S funny! Boo is copping a nap on my new coat....that'll learn me for putting it on the bed.......gots to have the cat hair before the outfit is complete!

Thanks to Lily, I had to make a last-minute stop by Albertson's yesterday to pick up a replacement dessert. I made a pineapple upside down cake from scratch to take to a gathering. While it was cooling, she got up on the counter and started licking the cake. Needless to say, it went directly in the garbage.

She's sitting on the kitchen rug staring under the stove. I'm not sure if it's a doorway to another dimension, or she's concentrating on her toys rolling out by mind control, but she's got me wondering. And no, I won't investigate until tomorrow. She is not my owner...... (If I repeat that often enough I may believe it.) Edited for vodka induced grammar errors.

One is curled on in the window, another on the pillows behind me. The other two are both trying to insinuate themselves between my hands and the keyboard, one on each side.

Lily figured out how to open my desk drawer, found a box of 3-hole binding reinforcements and was busy trying to get them out of the box when I ruined all her fun.

One is curled up at the foot of the bed , and the other is drifting off to sleep about a foot away. It's raining and cold here...Sleeping seems like good idea.

They were the adhesive ones on a strip of paper. She had located the end of the strip and was trying to pull it out of the box when I came by. I'm sure she'll find something else to entertain herself with. She's clever like that.

Wait'll you come home from work one day and find ALL the lower cupboard contents strewn about on the floor.......including the OVEN door! KB has some serious strength in his forelegs......and he tuckered himself doing all that mischief...I found him snoozing in my big soup pot!

heh. Wait for the time that (like my late Simon) the figure out how to get into the OVERHEAD cabinets and remove stuff without disturbing whatever you have stored there (except for what they want.. Simon got the catnip.. in a sealed plastic margariine tub... got it open too.,...)

Oh, that used to be a regular occurrence around here when I owned Miss Amanda (who passed away). She constantly was getting into the lower cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom and would empty their contents onto the floor. She never did figure out the oven, though. She also felt the need to get up on the bathroom counter regularly and knock all loose items onto the floor. One day, she hopped onto the microwave stand, then on top of the refrigerator, then walked across the hood of the stove, then opened a kitchen cabinet with her paw at 4:30 A.M., got hold of several glass custard cups and sent them crashing to the floor. Miss Lily and Miss Misty have never been able to live up to her legacy (fortunately for me). Mr. Dusty is an outdoor cat, so he don't get the chance.

Unfortunately for me, KB has taught his safecracking skills to the younger sibs......fortunately, they don't feel the need to explore the cupboards! Now my clothes drawers.....that's another story.....many a time I've gone in the bedroom to see that the drawers are all open, and kittehs are asleep on the clothing inside........
