I admit spicy is now away the - i think - the 13th day[:o]

I admit on two occasions I was pretty sure to have seen him downstairs from my balcony...but on both occassions when I was downstairs he was gone[>:]

I admit when I see him again I will place my camera on him, so that I can view that tape the next time when he is gone once I am down there[>:]

I admit as sad as it is that he walked off, as it looks like, with him I am not very worried as he always had the habbit to search for a home for himself where he would be the one and only cat...because of which he tried to move to my neighbour to the uk and also was away for 11 days after I moved within the UK...

I admit I learn to accept that from this old homeless chap....that he has his own head in that matter and uses it...

I admit, though, if I ever get him again he will get a gps-tracker[>:][>:][>:]

Tomtom showed up this morning, after being gone..I don't know HOW long. I think he got shut in somewhere, because he is ultra skinny, very weak, and very wobbly.

He ate almost a full cup of kibble by himself this morning. I just gave him half a can of tuna, too.

I don't know how old he is, but I hope that he regains his usual Tomcat self.


I wish I could cuddle him.

Ruby will be leaving Sydney later today to fly to San Francisco! We'll be picking her up tomorrow morning. I can't wait to see my baby!

So delay in getting my Ruby. The heater in the pet compartment is broken! So United has rebooked her and she will be getting here on Sunday instead.

My 2yr black and white female cat has just finished running around the house and is asleep in daughters room.
She'll probably come and sleep at bottom of my bed after I give her a good facial rub when I go to sleep.

Angie is hanging around the back door and window, waiting for the babies to come for their late night visit. Our SPCA has a waiting list of up to six months for people who want to surrender their cats, even if they are strays like our four little guys. I need to contact Animal Services. Their mandate IS stray animals, so I don't think they can refuse to take the kittens. But I have to make sure they won't be put down first.

Angel is definitely not a hot weather kitty. She hasn't asked to go out all week. She does like spying on my neighbor's cats from the window ledge. They are outdoor only and the poor things look so hot. It will be 106 today.

I don't have a cat, but I am about to adopt one while my ex comes to camp here for a month. The cat has his own Facebook page... and friends list. I am not sure what to think about all his.

So after a little adventure to Petsmart, we've got a new bed, kitty litter, litter trays, toys, bowls, placemats, Royal Canin Maine Coon 31 and Fancy feast.

Now less than 24 hours till she's here!

ResidentSadist - That's a fantastic idea! I have pondered making a FB page for Ruby...

LOL... I don't have a cat any more so out of necessity I've adopted my friend's cats. If they've left the door open then I'm betting one of them is perched on the steel railing 4 stories above the sidewalk trying to look nonchalant.

Iam so happy that I am strict on washing my hands after touching the outdoor cats: this morning I gave the bottlebrush tailed girl from next door a quick back stroke, and when I went to wash my hands (immediately after getting inside), there was a friggin TICK in the sink... (I ran the water for a good 5 minutes to make sure that fucker was well down the drain - and hopefully into wastewater purgatory).

Oh, dear. I am woefully deficient as a kitty mama. I haven't set up Facebook pages for the kitty girls, LOL.

She's here!

Not without some drama. So, it took us quite a while to find the United airlines air cargo building. By time we did, the woman who served me first tried to give me someone elses cat & dog. It took her 20 minutes to find Ruby <insert sheer panic here>. Once she found her, it then took another 20 minutes for her to locate her paperwork. I signed off and we left.

About 10-15 minutes later we receive a call from the same woman who says Ruby hasn't cleared Customs and that we need to go back to SFO. Um, what? Excuse me, not my problem, this poor cat has already had her flight delayed a day, flew 14 hours, is sitting in a carrier full of wet newspaper.. and you want US to drive back? Hell fricking no!

So her supervisor calls me back, apoligises and gets us to fax her certificate of health over and she will clear her and lie to Customs saying my flight got delayed and that a friend picked her up.

But she's here. We're keeping her confined to the main bedroom to begin with. Hasn't had anything to eat or drink and is being generally a little shy. But I have got a purr, chirrup and plenty of eyeblinks from her.
