Time to change tops before I head off the hair salon. I was sitting down enjoying a cup off coffee and Angel decided to get all lovey-dovey with me. She jumped up on my chest to give me some head butts and eskimo kisses and got white fur all over my red top. And now I can't find my cat hair remover device! Luckily, I think I have another red top on hand that will go with this skirt.

Angel was being a belligerant bully and ended up getting yelled at and sprayed this morning. She had poor Misty cornered and was taking swipes at her. Sometimes she needs to be reminded to cool her jets.

Despite the hundred degree plus temps, Angel asked to go out for a few hours today while I went to the nail salon. I came back to find my "gifts" on the porch--three murdered geckos. Guess all that hunting wore her out. She's now napping peacfully.

They were like little alarm clocks and woke me dutifully at 6 A.M. to be fed. Fortunately, I went back to sleep after that. Angel got into the hall closet, pulled a sweater coat off a hanger, and was comfortably sleeping on it. Of course, it is deep red, so her white fur was all over it.

Angel really outdid herself last night. I fell asleep reading and woke up at 2 A.M. and realized she was still outside. I called her to come in. I heard her distressed cries but did not see her right away. Turns out she had jumped up on the roof and had forgotten how to get back down again. I had to put on my "cat thinking cap" and try to figure out how she got up there in the first place. There is a 4-foot ledge around my property. There is one corner of the roof that would have only involved a 6 foot jump or so, so I figured that was how she got up. She was really freaked out and I had to coach her on how to get back down again. Guess I'm lucky she didn't climb a tree and need to be rescued by the fire department!

my kittehs felt that I was sleeping too long and between KB and Bitty, I'm now up. {sigh} They are adjusting ok to the new smaller quarters, as long as they have food and boxes, and the bed to hog, they are happy. Greedy, I'm sorry to hear about Tomtom. But at least he knew what is was like to have someone care for him a little. The little strays I fed at the one apartment felt like my own after taking care of them, and when Mama got mangled in that van engine, I cried like she was one of mine. The one woman in the building drove into the driveway like it was a racetrack and killed two of the yellow kittehs.....it was all I could do to not go kick her ass. She'd run them over and leave them there to suffer and die. The first time she did it, I thought I'd run over the kitteh when I eased in, but he was barely alive and the blood was cold. I just hope there is a special place in hell for people that dump animals and are cruel to them.

I agree, Soul. And a special place in hell for those that allow their dogs to run loose, killing cats/kittens. I got home yesterday afternoon, and most of the usuals realized this (I guess they know the sound of my car). My landlord (God bless him!!) put some food out for the outdoor kitties even though I had only asked him to check on Amos and Cashie!! He told me that I had put out enough food and water for the kids that they would probably have been fine for 2 weeks...LOL

Greedy, that's great that your landlord is ok with you feeding the outside kittehs. So many of them would rather poison them than let them be, altho someone at my old place actually trapped Mama and Toby and got them fixed and brought them back. We didn't have any rats in the area, once in a while we'd see a rat body, but no live ones. My bunch are just hanging out.....fighting for a spot in the only window I have. I let them out on the walkway last night, they did some exploring around the building. I'd like to take them out on their leashes, but I finally have the fleas under control, and don't want them in the grass to get more. And the pavement and sidewalks are just too hot during the day. The hotel walkway is fine for them, they can't get away from me, and they can run the whole length of the building.

He's barfed up a quartet of goldfinches at the bottom of the steps. I either put my shoulder to the wheel and clean it up myself now, or neglect the task and step on it when I make that midnight run for eclairs. The cad is sitting in the lawn chair with the "good" cushions right now, luxuriously licking between his toes. I ought to pelt his nasty hide with the pea-shooter.

As mentioned earlier, I don't have a cat, but my ex is here as a house guest for a while. She has a cat named Garfield (aka Hunter) and he has his own Facebook page... and friends list. Hunter Spaulding III So here is a copy of the note I gave her which pretty much describes what the hell my cat guest is doing. The note reads: Well... Garfield finally gave in to curiosity about the computer printer. I had a big print job and he just kept watching paper come out sheet after sheet. He was crouched down trying to peer into the paper shoot as if he could see who was pushing the paper out. I am pretty sure he thinks mice are responsible for all of this and they live inside the printer. After the last sheet printed and it stopped, he couldn't take it anymore. He wiggled back and forth as cats do when they take aim and pow . . . he lunged shoulder deep, both paws buried up the paper shoot sweeping his paws around inside wildly in hopes snagging one of those pesky mice that hide just out of sight behind the rollers. He is bound and determined to kill whatever is in that printer and he is still trying to get his head in there as I write this. It is as if there is some great mouse conspiracy to taunt him by ejecting sheets of paper from the printer which is really just a mouse fortress and now he is gonna' get in there and give them the business! Kalon, that is hilarious! What is my cat doing? That is a very good question. I haven't seen her for quite a while. The house is silent, so I am assuming she is snoozing in a sunbeam somewhere.

Mine are running around here stalking each other, and KB is trying to figure out how to climb up the window.....he'd usually climb the screen, but I have the window closed down so he can't reach it. Since I'm not paying hte electric here, I crack the window open for fresh air even if the a/c is on. Earlier, Bit and Boo were on different sides of the bed waiting for the other to pop out so they could POUNCE......but neither one popped out, and I could tell the exact second that waiting got boooooring.....their faces went from "I'm gonna get you!" to "oooooh, shineeeeeee". Then Smooch walked over and he got pounced....I swear, Bit is like Tigger..he pounces everyone! Last night I almost peed myself....Boo was at the bottom of the bed on the edge, and Bitty kept popping up like a jack in the box with the whole jazz hands thing working just waiting for Boo the move. Boo was all "go away, kid, ya bother me!", and Bitty was so persistent. He did this for like 10 minutes before he gave up and found something else to do. He's my little clown.

It is pissing down rain here. A little while ago, there was the typical thunderstorm stuff..rumblegrowlrumble - quiet - quiet - WHIPCRACK!! (yanno, the shit that wakes me up from my prework naps so often...). AMos is perched on the back of the sofa, watching the rain come down. Cashie... is hiding in the carrier...
