LP and RS, I'm so sorry for your losses. I used to have two cats named Gomez and Mort ( Mort was originally Morticia but she ended up being a he). I had them 12 and 14 years. I think about them often and they still visit me in my dreams.

After five years, i now have Bugger and Baby. They are filling the hole that the other two cats left.

LadyPact -> RE: What is your cat doing? (12/21/2013 1:37:45 PM)

Thank you, everyone. We really do appreciate it. In some ways, one of the most common areas of understanding from one human to another is knowing the pain of losing a pet.

The remaining three cats are getting back to their normal habits. Since it's Christmas time in our house, for Whiteness (yes, that's really what we call her) that means she gets to enjoy spending extra time in boxes. She is in absolute heaven because we bought a new artificial tree that came in a box. It's a perfect box for her. Skinny and long. Just wide enough to be the perfect fit. She loves it so much that I don't even have the heart to chuck it into the spare room, so I guess it will stay in the living room until it's time to put the tree away.

Lol, thats awesome [:D][:D][:D]

My Pepper remains addicted in chasing her shadow...[8|]

Somehow she realises her shadow more in Franks flat than she did in mine, which might be cause his floors have a lighter colour than mine did...

Some time ago I mentioned bringing her outside to chase away the cat which is annoying her brother and Frank said "Pepper chasing away him?
She is scared about her own shadow, how do you think that she would be able to scare away him?"

Though to be fair, some time ago he run off when she showed him, that she isnt scared about him when I took her outside....somehow he was irritated that she dared to rub her fur on his ground
instead of running away from him[:D]

Still no cat. Nope.

TNDommeK -> RE: What is your cat doing? (1/7/2014 2:03:54 PM)

Omg! I can now join this thread! We got the brat a kitty. He is a tuxedo cat...deciding on a name.
So right now he is playing with the dogs, they all get a long.

Phoenixpower -> RE: What is your cat doing? (1/7/2014 5:33:29 PM)

Currys body tells me, that the brand "gourmet cat food" is crap...cause whilst he is happily eating it, his body flares up with sort of eczema...

I bought it when it was reduced on offer as it is just as expensive and often even more expensive than his sheba but quite frankly his body doesnt lie and so many sour patches on him (all near the spine from neck to tail) arent from other cats[&o] as he had that happen already back in 2011, when briefly I had to switch to the cheapest brand in the UK...so his body is sensitiv to crap...

Well...this brand lost us forever...[:)][:)][:)]

JstAnotherSub -> RE: What is your cat doing? (1/7/2014 6:08:28 PM)

Cats are not my favorite creatures, in fact I often say they go well with a teriyaki sauce, but this little monster, an 8 yo Maine Coon that my friend in Florida had just adopted from the pound made me fall in love with her. The little bitch! I swear she is part dog. I wanted to kitty nap her and bring her back to Georgia with me!

Blonderfluff -> RE: What is your cat doing? (1/7/2014 6:09:48 PM)

My kitty ( all 4 lbs of her) is currently curled up right on top of my newly folded laundry.
She's 16, so I think I'll let it slide.
~sigh~. I hate doing laundry.

Ollieboomboom -> RE: What is your cat doing? (1/7/2014 8:44:50 PM)

I have 2 cats now...Gabriel and Ollieboomboom. Yes, I named myself after my cat. Pfft.

Ollie is wherever my feet are...smh and the Master of the house is laid out on the back of the loveseat until I move...then they will be wherever I am.

Can I take a sprinkle in peace please? Nope! Love my boys.

anniezz338 -> RE: What is your cat doing? (1/7/2014 8:55:25 PM)

I have two stray cats that i feed and my two indoor cats. I've been letting the stray cats come in at night because of the cold. There's been some hissing and growling for the last few nights. Everyone is asleep in their separate places right now so all is quiet.

ShaharThorne -> RE: What is your cat doing? (1/7/2014 11:52:19 PM)

The white tomcat is still hanging around, begging for food. I don't think he'll like chili too much. Mom is still going "NO CATS ALLOWED IN MY HOUSE!" The shed door is wide open and there is a big pile of leaves in there he can tunnel into.

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (1/8/2014 1:05:12 PM)

LP and RS, ((((HUGS)))) for your loss.

The new year has found all of us well, I get the final set of stitches removed from my ankle tomorrow, I'm walking with a brace, which the cats are grateful for...no more getting stepped on by mom in her "boot"! KB still runs out occasionally, but he returns in about 30 minutes.....he checks out where our ferals hang out and comes back.

Right now, they are all crashed out on the bed. I made it earlier, and you'd have thought I had 'nip in the sheets! They were all over it, and then spent the next 30 minutes running around the joint like they were high or something! What a bunch of foo-foos!

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (1/8/2014 1:22:44 PM)

Bless everyone who either adopted a new kitty or is taking care of their outside ferals. I have 5 of my own, and 5 ferals.....OMG!!!!! I AM a Crazy Cat Lady....I've always said 10 gives you that status! Oh well, it was inevitable......

Dovie, you will never again have privacy in the bath.......wait until one actually gets in the shower with you!!!!!

JAS, I have a female Maine Coon.....I call her my little hugger mugger because when I pick her up, she wraps herself around my neck and hugs me and mashes her face all over mine, giving me big wet spoogie kisses. I adopted her too from a friend of a friend who was thinning out her herd of 8 cats.

DrG.....get a cat....they will forever change your life for the best! Actually, get two or three, they are actually very social animals and will have a great time! And adopting them will give you brownie Karma points!

I do have one little feral that is a lover. She won't come in and stay with me though. I did try a few times, she is fine w/the kitties, and they are curious about her, but as soon as the door closes behind her, she gets all nervous. The other little guys won't let me get close to them, they have been here since I moved in last May. The staff here at the hotel actually paid to have them neutered, so at least there aren't any more kittens being brought into the world. I make sure they get at least one meal a day, and will continue to do so even once I get into a permanent apartment. I worry about them in the cold, but they have a shed that they stay under, and they seem to be doing okay. {sigh} It's like they know if they come to me, they will have a keeper that will help them out.

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (1/8/2014 1:26:37 PM)

This is Squeaks, my Maine Coon....she's a biggun, goes about 25 pounds. That is a 17" widescreen monitor, just to give you an idea of the scale.

We now know that she is kinky...*sees the monitor background*

NuevaVida -> RE: What is your cat doing? (1/8/2014 5:26:07 PM)

I haven't been in this thread for awhile, apparently.

LP and RS, so very sorry for the loss of your pets last month. Must have been rough. :(

Right now, Viktor is sleeping. I'm packing these days so he's been back & forth between having fun with boxes and hiding under the bed when ALL the boxes overwhelm him.
