HE'S BACK ! ! ! ! ! !

Today was the dawn of the 16th day, and from all the way outside I could hear his hideous bleating squall from under the truck ! ! !

That errant old black gentleman is now enthroned on his favorite quilt napping and snoring away.

He came home! Oh, you guys! He's home!

Oh cool.

I am getting worried about house fleas.

subwaythru, So glad your ltr feline is back where he belongs- clearly there are superiour D/s dynamics going on here with the ones who have hammered out negotions and have earned the trust and confidence that comes with a committed relationship!

My 3 year old orange fluffy is missing Me and hugging My Primary at all hours.. I guess there are usually 2 of us tall things to love up on ordinarily, but with me taking a month in China, I hear Verbal's all clingy.... no so for the high white sleek female calico - she's only 2 and apparently a bit autistic- not the affectionate one yet. Her fave place is curled up at My knee on the computer tower hidy space.

Heartwarming tales shared by real cat people, happy to see y'all~

Yay!!!  So happy to hear that!!!

Angel is snoozing away on the couch, happy to be in from the heat.  Lily is in my office keeping me company.  Misty is chowing down.

Dusty, the little black male cat who ditched me in favor or my neighbor, now seems to want to hang around my house all the time again.  I think he likes my new cat Angel and vice versa.  She runs off every other cat who comes onto the porch except him.

He is not only back, but he is back to his old tricks of finding things that will try my patience most sorely. For the moment, he is stretched out like a pelt along what was a fine border of Primula Denticulata, with a gracious plenty of Goldfinch feathers fanned artistically on the walkway in front of him.

I took him out a pretty little Limoges finger-bowl of spring water, and a just a mouthful of minced filet to tempt his jaded palate and to appease any discomfort he may be experiencing in this oppressive heat. He, as I expected, disdained to even crack an eyelid in acknowledgement of my meager offering.

This attitude and servitude is so common among felines and those that love them - and just like the natural dominants that they are, it is expected.
Has anyone else succeeded in training your feline to do anything usefull, or out of the ordinary?
Mine will both automatically flatten any freshly laundered clothes placed on the bed... My 3 year old male will answer the phone by knocking it over.. ( not really usefull,I admit) and they both will hold down My papers so the wind won't blow them away, even if it means I have to write or paint around them.
Always the best Diva~Zya

I once had a cat that would fetch.....she had one of those furry little spider things that attached to a doorknob....it took her about 5 minutes to snap the elastic cord, and she brought it to me and dropped it on the floor....I tossed it, she brought it back again and again.  I have no idea where she learned it....I got her as a kitten, and she just did it.

As far as training in my kitteh household, well, I have to admit, they have ME trained very well!!!  KB rules the roost, the other 3 are just along for the ride.  In fact, the reason I am up now is because KB thought he was hungry.....he ate some treats and is now prowling for a place to curl up and sleep in...me, I'm up for now.

I think spicy is going to move out [&o]

my neighbour asked me 1-2 years ago if he can have him...I said no [>:]
then later I offered to him that if spicy might prefer it with him I would not mind to let him chose that...where he then was reluctant...
and today??? I came home...and spicy was far more interested in my neighbour than in me and walked off with him [>:][>:][>:]

Fine, off you go. Let me know once that decision is final and you can pick up your vet card and bed [>:][>:][>:]

Both of the kittehs are dreaming of global domination.

Phoenix, his decision will be based on who has the better food and softer bed, I'm sure!  Break out the Fancy Feast and 100% feather down pillows!

Could it just be possible that his nose is out of joint?  New beebees and all?

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (7/28/2010 4:40:53 AM)

My two middle boys were jumping on each other and running around.....KB is curled up in his basket, and Squeaks is in the window in the bathroom watching for birdies and squirrels.....

I seriously think it is getting too crowded for him. I read in one magazine that it is for them as if we would be in a hostel, kind of no guarantee that our bed stays empty for us,that the food we keep for later will stay where we left it,etc...i think he wants a bit more his own kingdom...and of course that neighbour feeding him makes it easy for him to feel welcome there.

I will let him chose and therefore let him go,if thats what he and my neighbour want...my neighbour has 2 year old twin boys,he wouldnt be bored there...

My baby boy Junior, age 4 mos., is sprawling across my lap, purring his head off, dictating an email that he says I have to send because he doesn't have any thumbs to type with, and besides he doesn't know how to spell. He sends mellow greetings to all his people via their humans. ^[:D]^

pahunkboy -> RE: What is your cat doing? (7/28/2010 1:08:14 PM)

I dont know where she is at.  hmm.

MysticFireTopaz -> RE: What is your cat doing? (7/28/2010 4:10:21 PM)

All three are snoozing the afternoon away.

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (7/28/2010 4:28:26 PM)

Well, Phoenix, if he goes to the neighbors house, at least you can visit him......or maybe he'll come to visit you.

I have 4, and while they all have their favorite spots in the house, sometimes, they take each other's spot.....on the bed, the couch, the bookcase, the highest cabinet in the room.  Usually, once one is in a spot, at least one more will try to get in there too......the middle boys love to cuddle w/KB.

pahunkboy -> RE: What is your cat doing? (7/28/2010 6:07:26 PM)

She is back- very close to me. Like she has separation anxiety. lol.

I love my kitty.

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (7/29/2010 1:14:14 AM)

Since KB has succeeded in getting me out of bed at this un-fricking-godly hour for nothing more than the hell of it, he is off snoozing, as are the rest of them.  I'm going to wait about 5 more minutes, and then go poke his little kitty butt just because I can!  See how he likes it!  [>:]

He sounds a lot like my Misty.

I was just roaming back among the previous posts and saw all the congrats for the return of that errant rogue. Thank you everyone.
As for now, he had been resting up on the center of the top of the sofa, but when I got up from a ghastly nightmare a little while ago, he disdained my company and petulantly demanded to go out into the Dark Night.
Oh, well, if I wanted comforting, I ought to have a dog. But, while dogs are very nice beings, a cat is a cat. And only a cat, it seems, can be a cat.

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (7/29/2010 9:51:10 AM)

Subway, my one cat, Smooch, got out on me shortly after we relocated to the Phoenix area.  He was a total indoor cat, only allowed outside when I was able to watch them, and he snuck outside on me.  This was August in the desert, I was terrified he'd either die from the heat, get eaten by a dog, bitten by a creepy crawlie, or run over by a vehicle.  I didn't realize he was gone until I was leaving for work and fed them...all I could think about was what was happening to him.  I prayed that I wouldn't find his crushed little body in the roadway, and spent the next 12 hours at home calling and searching for him.  I even had the employees at the hotel I was at looking for him.  He finally showed up at the bottom of the stairs.  Other than being dehydrated and hungry, he was fine.  I, on the other hand, was a total wreck.  He still tries to sneak outside on me, but I'm wise to his tricks.

I hope he doesn't disappear on you again.
