Mystic....give 'em some 'nip first.....and don't be drinking anything while you're doing the laser thing.  Cuz you're gonna laaaaaaaaugh for ass off!

Wha????  It's not like I'm being a mean kitteh mommy......but it's funnier than a rubber crutch!!!!!  I also like running them around in circles til they get dizzy and fall down.......but only KB and Smooch will chase the dot, apparently Boo and Squeaks have figured it it's a no-win situation.

I gave Angel some catnip first, then let her chase the beam, and it was pretty hilarious!  While Lily won't chase the dot, she did come out to partake of the catnip and enjoyed watching "the twit" (Angel) make a fool of herself.

MysticFireTopaz -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/3/2010 12:29:57 PM)

I was petting Misty in my lap while talking on the phone and got nipped a few times because I wasn't paying full attention and rubbed her the wrong way.  Lily is off hiding somewhere.  Angel is inside chowing down after spending a few hours outdoors chasing after birds.

MistressRosalyn -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/3/2010 9:05:54 PM)

Today, Hobbes came in with a tiny lizard which I made him drop. After a while, Hobbes found it again, and I got it away from him, only to have it run under a bookshelf. An hour later, Hobbes caught it AGAIN, and I was finally able to get the lizzie, and put it outdoors...reasonably undamaged. Unfortunately, even though I let Hobbes smell my hands, he still thinks the lizard is in my office, and he's going nuts trying to find it.

I hate dead, hidden lizards...they have a most unfortunate smell, so I avoid that occurrence whenever I can.

Nutmeg decided that she was unsure to be around me today. So I left her alone. Later she then decided she wanted to be around me and I decided I didn't want her around me. So now she is sleeping. So we were both moody today. Go figure.

Mine are sitting in various windows, enjoying the rather cool night air.....Maxwell House is roasting coffee, smells like regular grind, not the dark roast...the whole house smells like coffee....I love that smell!

PeanutTigerinBox -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/4/2010 4:47:19 AM)

they are grateful now that I bought cat food this morning....I could not find the 4 tins which I have somewhere and yesterday all they got were a package of sausages (10 frankfurter sausages shared betweeen 5 cats and myself)....this morning....well, lunchtime, I then got up and bought them their food in the cornershop nearby....now they are fed and staring outside of the window.

Summer indicated yesterday that she is hungry as she moved a bit her empty fish tin [&:] So she knows how to make herself understood [:)]

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/4/2010 5:07:17 AM)

Yeah, KB is really good at making himself understood.....if I'm in bed, and he head butts me, he's hungry...if he pops my nose, he's hungry....if he meows in my ear, he's hungry.....see the pattern here?  And if I bounce him off the bed, he gets on the night table and starts pushing things off of it till I get pissed and toss him in kitty jail (cat carrier).  He's not really hungry, but he's gotten used to getting gooshy food upon demand......I know, it's just easier sometimes to feed him than to argue!  NO ONE wins an argument with a cat......

Right now, they are still hanging around checking out the windows and snoozing.  Smooch is talking about something, Lord only knows what!

PeanutTigerinBox -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/4/2010 2:12:15 PM)

Lol, thats so true S2S, though spicy, curry and pepper are ok-ish, only the birmans are a pain in the butt over here [>:]

Until a while ago pepper was used to get certain cat treats every night...she was outright addicted to those....managed now to wean her off with buying a different brand which keeps her less addicted to it...cant afford to spend 1-2 pound on those (with having so many cats) every fucking day...[>:]

angelikaJ -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/4/2010 5:09:38 PM)

Angel is purring, cuddled on my lap while Tabitha is about to have a change in position: she was on my right shoulder and is now perched uncomfortably (for me) behind my neck.

MistressRosalyn -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/4/2010 8:15:28 PM)

Miffer puffer-wuds (AKA Mr. Spuddy...yeah, I talk baby talk to my cats, what of it??? *LOL*)

Is on the window ledge waiting for me to get tired of the computer and come to bed. He has a long wait in front of him!

MysticFireTopaz -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/4/2010 11:22:39 PM)

When I was watching the news on TV earlier, Misty was having a great time rubbing her whiskers against the frames of my glasses.  Guess she has a glasses fetish, in addition to her hair chewing fetish.

Lily has developed a fondness for sitting in the sink of the guest bathroom.  She saw Angel doing it, and decided it was a nifty thing to do and has been doing it ever since.

Angel is pooped from her outdoor adventures and is snoozing away on the sofa.

MysticFireTopaz -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/5/2010 11:18:39 PM)

Angel was so sweet tonight.  She just curled up at my feet and kept me company the whole time I studied.

MistressRosalyn -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/5/2010 11:35:35 PM)

Hobbes is being such a needy pain in the ass! He is trying to get me off the computer, and into bed...but I have to take a shower first, so he has a bit of a wait.

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/6/2010 3:16:37 AM)

Mystic, I wish that her whiskers were all that Squeaks rubbed on my glasses....I usually end up with kitty snot on my lenses from her nose......it's really bad if she sneezes!

Vendaval -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/6/2010 3:19:20 AM)

I finally got a glimpse of the backyard critter that keeps Cosmo so entranced at the back door. There was a white-grey striped face of a possum looking through the fence and taunting him, tail whipping was much in evidence.

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/6/2010 3:25:16 AM)

Could be worse, Vendeval...it could be the black and white striped face of a skunk!

Back home, we call 'em country kitties.....not to be confused with city kitties......but I saw more skunks when I was living in the city than I've ever seen in the country.  You usually smell them in the country!!

Vendaval -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/6/2010 3:28:40 AM)

Heh, I have seen skunks and racoons here in town too. I give both a lot of space when they come around here and just let them be. After washing the car one summer day I left the bucket outside to dry and later found a baby possum in it. It arched it's back and hissed so I set the bucket on its side and set some water and cat food out for it, was not not sure if it was stuck in there for a day or a few hours.

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/6/2010 3:28:46 AM)

Rosalyn, I used to have a cat that would actually join me in the shower.....the first time she did, I about had a heart attack.....just imagine a wet, slippery tail sliding along your calf........my first thought was "SNAAAAAAKE!"  Why I don't know.....once I got the shampoo out of my eyes, I looked down, and there sat Nike, splashing in the water.

Squeaks will get up on the tub and peek around the shower curtain......I'm waitng for her to fall in cuz she walks back and forth screwing around.  KITTEHS!

Vendaval -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/6/2010 3:31:37 AM)

A couple of my kitties have liked to set on the edge of the tub and play with the bubbles. Which is all well and good unless of course they slip and fall in. One made a running start and tried to launch himself off of the toilet, which was open. He fell into the toilet bowl and was frantically clawing at the sides, succeeding only in pulling the lid down on top of himself. Most pissed off cat I have seen in years!

PeanutTigerinBox -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/6/2010 6:41:00 AM)

Curry always comes to me towards the end of the shower and then enjoys it when I pick him up whilst i'm still wet...

Today summer was so "kind" to open my newly bought tortellini...and helped herself, whilst i introduced the boys to the outside...

Spicy felt way too comfortable outside,so i can only hope that he'll find back...
