I can wear regular socks, and for a while I am fine but my legs and my feet swell and if the socks are on my feet for more than 20 minutes, there's a huge indentation where the cuff sat and it's bruised and very painful.This causes the edema in my foot to kind of swell up more.
If you start taking directics, you need to either take potassium pills or eith a bannana a day. watch your salt intake. Exercise helps, even if it is just doing simple walking, sitting for long periods of time makes the swelling worse, try elevating your feet. I suppose you could get special socks or something like tennis socks that simply cover the foot and just a bit of the ankle. I am not sure if elevating your feet is a good idea or not, but it has been suggested
