Status: offline 		I admit my rheumatologist tagged me with fibro, even though I protested mightily and swore a lot.

I admit it hasn't changed my ability to work, do stuff around the house, etc. but I gots no endurance!

Police have identified the body of a man killed by an explosive device in an Evanston park early this morning but are not releasing his identity pending notification of his family.

Meanwhile, investigators are only saying this is a death investigation and no determination has been made as to whether the death was a suicide or an accidental death during the commission of some other crime.

During a news conference this afternoon, Evanston Police Comdr. Tom Guenther said the device that killed the man was likely a pipe bomb. A second pipe bomb was safely detonated by the Cook County Sheriff's Bomb Squad.  Police are confident all explosives are gone from the area.

Evanston police got a call at 3:53 a.m. this morning after residents reported hearing a loud explosion in the vicinity of the 1000 block of Sherman. They told police it sounded like a transformer explosion. Police did not find anything unusual in the area at that time.

However, just before 6 a.m., a man walking his dog called police to say he found a badly mangled body near the tennis courts in Fitzsimmons Park, adjacent to the Nichols Middle School.(See map) Guenther would not confirm earlier reports the body of the victim was decapitated. He would only say there was extensive trauma.

Classes were canceled at the Nichols school and when investigators found a second live explosive device  near the body, nearby homes and businesses were evacuated.

The Cook County Bomb Squad detonated the second device.  Guenther said police then did a thorough sweep of the area to make sure there were no other devices.

Guenther would not give detailed information on the dead man except to say he lived in the area and was known to another local law enforcement agency. He said the FBI is working with Evanston police to collect forensic evidence from the man's home and computer.

The investigation is expected to continue into tomorrow, and because of that, officials at the news conference said it is unlikely classes will be held at Nichols on Wednesday. Parents should check the school district website for more information.

I admit that I made SOME progress at Sarah's, but wasn't there long enough to really CHUG. She was happy though, so that's cool. Baby steps. MUCH was tossed or sent to the recycle. And I have a LOT of fabric dye. There will be much handpainted yarn in the future, MUCH. I also got some "souvenirs" for myself, that will be integrated into Something, Eventually.

I admit I read some things that made me sad to see.

I admit my poor naive optimistic outlook has a few more pot marks.

I admit that hearing about things like dead bodies in parks next to schools hasn't helped either.

I admit I should just go try and sleep, but I can't.

I admit some days it feels like no matter how hard I try, how perfect I am, it just doesn't fucking matter.

I admit I'll probably feel better after I finally do get some sleep.

I admit I hope y'all are having a better time of it.

i admit it, i have apparently only lost 1 kg (in a month), but an assorted 43 cm around my body. not sure i can see or feel it, but will continue to persevere as long as i can afford it.

after that, it's back to walking and finding motivation to continue to do that.

i admit, a few more arrows are showing up. the universe appears to be shepherding me north.

do you know, to go north down here, you head towards the equivalent of florida? i'll betcha ya didn't!

I've followed all kinds of them in my life, most of which were confusing to the point of being incomprehensible at the time. I admit that now, I too have arrows pointing, except I don't have to think it through by myself anymore, and I have my life partner and best pal along for the ride, for which I am profoundly grateful.
I admit that it's funny that angel should mention Florida..
I also admit that angel makes me think about my own misbegotten weight loss, which requires immediate reassessment and implementation. Thank you for that, girl, and trust your gut on the following of arrows; the Universe will guide you to exactly where you need to be, and you will always arrive on time.

I admit that most in US don't know "1 kg" is about 2.5 lbs.
I admit that most in US don't know "43 cm" is about 17 inches

I admit that I find the motivation to walk in the weight loss!  LOL!
I admit that I walked 1/2 hour every day in June and lost 6 lbs. (2.4 kg)
I admit that I didn't walk at all in July or August.  Bad, Lance!  Bad!
I admit that I've kept it off, so need to walk more than I have in Sept. which is (drummm rollll for big finish!!!) NONE!

ETA: Lance at bottom-o-page.  Wassup wid dat?
