On the "good news side" the number of people that believe they have west nile FAR exceed the number of actual, lab tested cases. (But our offices are fielding hundreds of calls) We
had one fatality in my jurisdiction but keep in mind--those who are succumbing to it typically have other serious medical conditions. The other cases we are tracking in otherwise healthy adults are resulting in mild to moderate symptoms--and they recover with any assistance.

But I encourage you to go an get checked out-- I had them do a strep and should have insisted on a flu test but at the time the symptoms didn't match.

I still have the "icepick" in my face but counting on those meds to kick in soon

It's at the local community college where I attend classes. The required class is called Engagement in Community. We have to volunteer 20-30 hours, get a certificate signed from the organization manager and scan it to the teacher as proof. There is also homework due every week which imo are soooooo stupid....what are your hobbies? How do you feel when doing things for other people? What would you like to do with your life? etc.....It's a blow-off class.

When I went to a university where I started my degree about 10 years ago, it was mandatory to take a religion course because it it a catholic college. I actually loved the class though.

I admit this is true. Here in Baltimore, to graduate from high school you have to serve so many hours in volunteering and so a lot of organizations are already set up to provide that to students.

I had to do it in high school in western PA also. I volunteered in the school office though and got away with everything since my friend who was working with me, would always cover for me when she knew I didn't go in because I was hungover from the night before lol.

I admit I wonder if my professor would accept volunteering at a bdsm group?

I admit somehow, for some reason, she would not be thrilled with my choice.

depends on how you spin it lw!

if you suggest that it's helping you to understand and assimilate alternative lifestyles, and point out the interest that recent literature (use that hideous Grey series that came out) and maybe reference it back to the negative imagery that BDSM lifestyles continuously is exposed to via tv and sensationalist news...... and that discrimination for sexual preferences also includes the practice of such.... - at that rate, maybe you could even get FUNDING!

it takes all sorts to make up a diverse community. and ensuring that members of the community at large learn to be tolerant of practices which they may not understand or like is all part of educating them...

I admit i am thankful i homeschool the boy.

I admit i am stepping waaaay outside of my comfort zone and starting a foundation to help grandparents (and eventually parents) who have lost grandchildren.

I admit i am so tired of self doubt.

i admit it, i'm glad that friday is nearly over and saturday nearly upon us!

i admit i'm glad that what needs to be fixed on my car isn't as awful as i first worried about, and that it probably won't cause me as much as i first worried about.

i admit, my temp contract got extended another 2 months while they 'rewrite' the job description.

i admit, i cuddled the grandbaby long after she fell asleep while i was rocking her. it felt good. it felt peaceful.

I admit that I got up at 3:30 this morning. Laid back down at 4:30 and got back up at 8:30.

I admit that I got to get the dishes done. Mom should be on the road now.

I admit that Super1 has sodas on sale 4/$10. Definitely have to go get some in the morning.

I admit that Lizard got the ink and after hearing her cuss out her printer, its working fine now (its an old Lexmark Z25, which they don't make anymore).

I admit that I am the owner of too many things. I had it in my head that I had a pair of earrings by a bead artist whose stuff I collect. Could NOT find them. Turns out that I have a PENDANT of that particular bead. Also I have a gorgeous pair of floral bead earrings I made from beads I got in Hawaii.

I also have a LOT of stuff from my lapidary guy. Awesome stuff. My lapidary guy lives in Portland.

I am somewhat ashamed. But only somewhat.

I admit that dishes are done and my back is not hurting for standing up and doing them (usually I have to sit down because of the pain).

I admit that the drugstore has my Lasix ready for me...thank you doc!

I admit that Runescape is acting funky this morning. I am trying to get to my banshees and it froze up.

I admit Lizard colored her hair. What color, I don't know. Should I be scared?

ETA: Its black and it looks so good on her! Now to find gold and green yarn to crochet up a winter set for her.
