I admit that my beloved and most wonderful father-in-law passed away approximately 4 hours ago.

I admit that we are not telling the Things until the weekend because of school stuff they need to finish.

I admit that I was stricken to my core when I got the news this morning.

I admit that my heart swelled with all things sweetness and proud when my ex-husband said that in the obituary my name is listed as his daughter-in-law.

I admit that I am always part of their family and they are always a part of mine.

I admit that I told myself I would not cry until this weekend, but fell apart as soon as I got to the office.

I admit that getting it out here, before I see the Things tonight was best.

I admit that I'm glad my ex got to be there with his dad for at least a day before he sat with him as he slipped away.

I admit that I may only be around here occasionally the next few days because I feel like I have no idea what I'm doing.

I admit that I love you, my friends.

I admit that DRH's post was a tear jerker. I wish I could send hugs across the miles.

I admit that I'm feeling My age after the trip to GA.

I admit that I was a bit selfish in monopolizing My newest Granddaughter.

I admit that she probably thinks that the new "Grammy person" that walked into her life is more like a new activity center than a person. Who wouldn't have fun with hair to pull, long sparkly nails to play with, and jewelery that seems like it should go in the mouth.

I admit that there is no other feeling in the world quite like holding a small, dependent human being, and cradling her in your arms.

I admit that I felt like the belle of the ball in Atlanta, seeing all of the kinky folks that I've missed so much.

I admit that I'm tired still from the trip, and that is probably influencing Me, but I feel more homesick now that I'm actually "home".

I admit it I am grinning a lot at my also grinning son who has just come in from school after finishing his final exams

I admit I am sorry to hear of Daddysredhead's sad news. It is a situation that I know is not too far off with my own beloved ex father in law sadly and I can empathise greatly with how you are feeling.
